155 colleen currodespite a clean payment history with providian, my interest rate went up from 11.99% to 14.99% then 17.99% then 19.99%. I missed the due date by a few days one time,and they raised the rate to 30.99%!!

Between billings, I have to looking for the designated web page that enables me to actually make a payment! Most of the time when I call the "800" number, I never get to speak to a live human being. This company needs to have a web page designated something like, "Pay Bills Here"! I've put up with for several years because I normally pay my account in full, however it's getting harder and harder to "forgive" them because they don't "forgive" us when our online payments are late due to THEIR errors! I feel a change in credit card companies coming on!

168 Steven Van LangenI am charged a monthly finance charge fee of $18.00 because I once got an ATM advance on my credit card of $20.00. I can get nowhere with SST on this issue. Most of the time their website does not work and they want a $10.00 fee to pay for my bill over the phone.

If that was not an option I would have paid paid Providian off and not gone with SST. Give me the option. If I wanted to do business with SST I would have applied for their services.
170 ARMANDO CAPRAROTHIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE, I AM SO USED TO PAYING MY BILLS ONLINE. IT SEEMS THEIR WEBSITE IS ALWAYS NOT ACCESSABLE CAUSING ME TO MAKE LATE PAYMENTS RESULTING IN $39 LATE FEES. 171 Rene PittaroI was originally a Providian account holder and later was sold out to SST/Washington Mutual without my approval. Then interest rates were increased in addition to having difficulty making payments online this making me late for payment as I do everything on the day of the due date. Then I incur late fees, calls all this when I have attempted to find their site now impossible to find. If I call then I am charged a fee for paying my bill. Please add me to this class action suit as I am very frustrated with this business practices as in the past before having difficulties I was a good customer. Please help us!

178 jeremy gilleythey have done the same to me, and i canceled my card and my account, but they keep charging me an over the limit fee every statement, showing a limit of $0.00, so everymonth over the limit fee's are applied to the balance, now totaling hundreds more than before i closed the account

190 Ladonna PopovichI have similar problems in addition I have lost my job and sst call without an identified number and calls several times a day. The reason I know this is usually I don't answer unless there is a way to identify the caller by showing the nuber on the caller id, but one day I thought who is calling so much and when I answered it was the billing department and there wer calling to let me know that I had missed a payment. And when I stated that they were calling several times a day, I was told that they would continue to make the calls until my account is brought current. I then found myself into a heated discussion with that employee and now when they call from an unidentified number and if I happen to answer they just hang up. There also was a couple of times I coule not acssess there site to make a payment and when I called they charged 10.00 for a phone payment and I explained that I felt that they should waive the payment because it was there site that was causing the problem and I was told that they would not waive the fee. I recently faxed them a letter atating that they are not to call me any more and now I am having difficulty accessing the wwebsite again so I can pay may bill. This company is a JOKE. There customer service stinks.

193 scott klunder, esq.I had one payment late by several days because my wife forgot to mail it. they carged me a $39 late fee and incresed my finance charge (on the entire $5,000 balance) to 30% from 18%.When I attempted to resolve the dispute, I was told by several reps that this is their blanket policy. although I have demanded mandatory arbitration several times, they have ignored me. the agreement that I took out with providian says that they must consider all factors before raising the finance charge and also requires mandatory arbitration. after assignment to columbus bank & trust, I received a letter stating that this entire agreement remained in force with the exception that Georgia law will now apply. I am mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore! class action is the only suitable remedy. their abuses are unpatriotic in this economic climate.

I just looked them up on google, and found all this information out.... I am a little surprised, and not happy.
