Name: Charles W. West on Aug 2, 2007Comments: My account was purchased from WAMU. I was not aware of this until I went to make my payment onliine and on time in March 0f 2007 when I found it had been sold to SST . I no longer could make the payment online and they charge a $14.95 fee for phone payment. they boosted my rate from 14.6% to 38%, hit me with late charges and over the limit fees with out any notification. They no longer do an email notification. I called customer service and the reps were rude and unhelpful.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Aug 6, 2007Comments: My Wamu account had been sold to SST without any notice of new payment mailing address. I continued sending my payment to Wamu until I received a phone call from SST. My payments that had been sent to Wamu were taking two weeks to be forwarded from Washington Mutual to SST. My interest rate was raised from 14% to 29.9% and late fees were added. After I started sending payments directly to SST, they misplaced them and even though I produced cancelled checks showing that they had cashed the checks prior to the due date they refused to take off late fees.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Aug 20, 2007Comments: My Providian account was sold to SST and I've had nothing but frustration. They call and harass on late payments after assessing ridiculously high penalties. They are raping the American public and I'd love to find whose responsible! Hopefully they can be put out of business and have the consumer's debts erased.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Aug 28, 2007Comments: SST's website, which is my primary medium as far as paying my bill, won't let me log on until my bill is past due. Magically, a day or two after the bill is due, the website is working again. Something is going on here, I have never experienced anything like this in my life. I am more than happy to add my name to the petition.Flag
