6301 daniel rubinOur teachers and other dedicated public employees should not have their social security payments reduced. This is very unfair. Daniel Rubin
6302 brenda rubinAs an underpaid educator for many years,it is unfair for my modest pension to reduce my social security benefits.
6303 Margaret PhillipsMy husband retired from Napa County Ca.Probation and is a victim of these two provisions even though he has more than 40 quarters paid into SS. This is just not right.

6308 Ma. Luisa U. GutierrezTo Our Honorable Lawmakers: Since 1980s our economy and demographics have radically changed. The two provisions of the Social Security Act; namely, Government Pensions Offset and the Windfall Elimination Provision are to say the least outdated, in addition to being discriminatory. As public employees, most of us have given our best and our most healthy years to the government. Our pensions have not been any higher than those in the private sector. With rising standard of living and lately, with the U.S. dollar declining in value compared to other developed economies, we have to depend more on our Social Security and government pensions. We urge you to be fair and grant us full retirement benefits that we have earned and deserved. Please vote for the Social Security Fairness Act -S 206 (Feinstein and Collins) and HR 82 (Berman and McKeon) which will eliminate above said discriminatory provisions. Gratefully, Ma. Luisa U. Gutierrez

6317 AnonymousWithout these monies many of our retirees won't be able to afford to live in California. It is unjust to loose your benefits because you work with kids.

6342 Myrna F. MengesI paid into social security for nearly thirty years and it was verified that I had more than the 40 quarters required to draw SSA. But because I worked for the state for fifteen yeas and get state pension, I was told that I can't draw any benefits.

6347 Ona Mae RossowMy feeling is that we should be paid retroactively to the date of retirement as these funds were actually stolen from all of the retirees. It has been difficult to live on the meager amt we were paid.
6348 Gerald Rossow
6349 Gerald RossowIt is long overdue that justice be done for the retirees and that our funds which have been stolen from us be returned. We have lived on a minimum salary for so long,k thanks to Gerald Ford and the Republicans.
6350 Shawn MansagerI did not become a teacher until I was thirty-one years old. Up until this point, I worked a full and part time job. I deserve those taxes back for retirement. Teachers already get the short end of the stick. I will have to teach eight years to even make $50,000. If we want qualified candidates for this profession then we need to provide security and respect to one of the most important professions on this planet!
