53 SivaloganThe killing of innocent Thamil civilians, especially women and children and the detention of innocent Thamil adults between the ages 16 and 40 in Srilankan government jails MUST STOP. The US, European Union, Canada and the rest world must rally around the UN and the UNHCR and enforce a Peacekeeping Mission to STOP the killings and jailing of innocent Thamils.

64 Siva GopalJust issuing statements is not going to save these people from starvation and certain death. You need to do more than that and ensure the IDPs are fed and treated for any injuries or illness. The SL Government is immuned to statements and has no motivation to treat those people humanely.

66 Bala RatnamWe have no one else to turn to. We are in desperate need of help.
67 Mala KadarThe UN cannot be seen as a 'toothless organization' by Sri Lanka - a failed state that has chartered the course to decimate its minority population in the northeast, all in the name of safeguarding Buddhism.
68 Anonymousyour immediate attention and response would be appreciated
69 Grace WilliamsThe land route A9 must be opened to the North by the Sri Lankan Govt. for my relatives, friends and families to get the basic food and medicine - at a price they can afford - like the rest of the country.

84 carol ritterPlease help stop the fighting in Sri Lanka. These innocent people have suffer so much. I saw first hand the devastation they endured after Tsunami and a decade of war. Two years of a fragile peace had gained so much for the children. Now with the war resummed these children will have no life. We should not sit back and let this happen. Please send a delegate to help negotiate peace. It was done before and it can be done again.

95 Appapillai RajendraIt is high time the world body took positive steps to hold the Sri Lankan Government responsible for the protection of the Tamils. The genocidal agenda of the Sri Lankan Governmenrt to annihilate the Tamils has been going on for the last two decades. The UN has failed to impose sanctions on the Sri Lankan Government or to address its concerns on this collosal human tragedy. The Tamils have suffered for far too long and the genocide must stop.
96 AnonymousThis is not a humanitarian act and supporting such an embargo is not according to Humans rights or the UN convention. Please take action to correct the situation and get food and aid to those in need. Please act.
