The UN Human Rights Council was meeting in Geneva supposedly would be discussed a UN international human rights monitoring missions for Srilanka. I think it is very important to flood UN offices save the Tamils and Singhalese people.
Dear Sir or Madam,
It is of the utmost urgency that you address the grievous humanitarian crisis in Sri Lanka at the fourth session of the Human Rights Council was finished. I didn’t know what kind of was taking by Human Rights Council. But I have to tall some thing about Sri lanke Majority, minority people who is suffering from weapon and with out foods. The People who did not know who is deceiving and true but It is true that the people from Sri lanke Majority, minority people who is suffering from weapon and they lost freedom and peace their life.
As Sri Lanka has descended into full-fledged civil war over the past year, there has been a spate of mysterious abductions, extra judicial killings and other human rights abuses.
I have tell,“ Negotiations could only start with the participation of the international community. People of Sri Lanka are against war and have a strong desire for peace.“ More than 500,000 people have been made homeless across the island due to war and the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. The Jaffna peninsula in the north has been one of the worst affected areas. The conflict has its roots in ethnic tension between the Singhalese majority and the mainly Tamil minority
I have tell "Arrangements should be made for the minority community to feel they are equal citizens and they have the right of self-determination."
Ministry of Royal Calvary urges all parties to the Sri Lankan conflict to commit:
• To immediate de-escalation of the conflict and progress towards a negotiated solution,
• To accept a United Nations-appointed international human rights monitoring mission to effectively monitor violations of humanitarian law,
• To participate in a serious dialogue on constitutional reform that acknowledges the aspirations of all minorities in Sri Lanka.
The human rights situation deteriorates daily and the people of Sri lanka need your help. Alone with more than 5,900 other concerned individuals, I signed a petition that I have written to your office to day calling for immediate UN intervention in Sri lanka, including a UN human rights monitoring mission.
It is reported that NRW is also calling for you to instate such a measure. Please Support the appointment of a HR monitoring mission would be decided by the Human Rights Council and advocate for diligent attention to the catastrophic situation in Sri lanka. I do not want to accuse any body but the Sri lanka need to establish Peace and Justice
