The main issue in hand is that the Army should leave the Tamil home land: The Jaffna Peninsula. Start with basics. A priest in Jaffna jokingly mentioned that a kilo of chicken in Jaffna is more expensive than human lives today. Essential goods need to be sent to the North... food, education and peaceful sleep. The LTTE had nothing to loose from the government closing the A9 road. It was the poor Tamils up North that suffered. If Tamils were given the basic rights they wouldn't be complaining. Sadly no government has done that. |
