This petition aims to bring to the UK Government's attention the deadly consequences of diesel spills to scooter riders. The petition has been created to capture the signatures of the UK scooter riding population.
Other online petitions exist, and we encourage you to look at the KillSpills website and sign their petition if you prefer. However this petition has been created to solely capture the signatures of scooter riders.
Our intention is to present the signatures from this petition to the KillSpills team, so please don't sign both petitions.
The chances are you have been thrown off, know someone that has, or have nearly come off as a result of a diesel spill.
Scooter riders are some of the most all year round riders; the wet winter weather is the worst time for a diesel spill accident.
Evidence suggests that there are good products at local councils' disposal to help reduce the problem; the products now need to be put into use.
Legislation against diesel spills already exists, we now need an education campaign to prevent them from happening in the first place.
The team at KillSpills have collected thousands of bikers’ signatures and delivered them to Number 10. This is your chance to add the scooter riders’ voice as well. |
