This is a petition aimed at the people at Activision. I have recently found of a game they had canceled in favor of Skylanders. Some thought it was merely the concept name for Skylanders. Turns out, it wasn’t. Spyro’s Kingdom was going to be an entirely different game. The game was in development at Helios. http://i3.ytimg.com/vi/fue8Moa-INg/mqdefault.jpg As the title implies, the game was set in a kingdom ruled by Spyro himself. Interestingly, instead of controlling Spyro, players would have been put into the role of another dragon, one they could customize. In addition to character customization, players would have also had a customizable dragon lair as well. The game would have been set after the events of Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon. Toys 4 Bob’ version was very similar to Helios’. Toys 4 Bob’s version did not require the portal or the figures to play the game, but it did require an online connection. Activision liked this version, and had Toys 4 Bob ditch the online part and make the portal and figures mandatory for gameplay. Eventually, the game was reworked into Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure. Whether the original Spyro’s Kindom would have been a better game is moot at this point. I want it to NOT be a moot point. Hopefully, if we get enough signatures, we can get this game going... I KNOW there's got to be a market for this..
