Stephen Green must pay court costs
We the undersigned call Stephen Green and Christian Voice to stop avoiding paying costs awarded against them in their case in the Jerry Springer the Opera case. It was Mr Green and Christian Voice who were responsible for trying to bring the case to court and are therefore liable for costs which would not have accrued otherwise. The courts concluded that Jerry Springer - The Opera \"in context\" could not be considered as blasphemous, as it was not aimed at Christianity, but was a parody of the chat show genre. Christian Voice asks for Mark Thompson and Jonathan Thoday to \"waive their costs in the interests of goodwill and justice\" and goes on to claim that the two men \"got away with blasphemy\" and suggests they are chasing Mr Green for costs out of vindictiveness. This show was not made with the express intention of blasphemy and has been enjoyed by millions worldwide. It was not Messrs Thompson and Thoday who pursued the case, thus ensuring many hours of solicitors\' time had to be settled.
