| 1553 | Jim O'Neill | how many more times in Brum are this so called elected council for the citizens of Brum going to bend over backwards for these out of town property developers at the detriment to the fun loving people of Birmingham and I'm nearly 60yrs old give the young uns some where to go for gods sake |

| 1557 | Gerry McElroy | This abatement order is absolutely ridiculous and a significant indicator if the current trend towards an homogenisation of the ethnic culture which makes (made) Britain a great place to live. So sad!
Music is not a matter of life or death. It is far more important than that!
Kill music - kill me! |

| 1560 | Tim Richardson | This is ridiculous, Planners should have known about the problem before granting permission, potential buyers should be aware that living in Digbeth is noisy. |

| 1562 | Edmund Barrett | Always enjoy my evenings down at the Spotted Dog. Nice people and a great atmosphere. Im not convinced the modern appartments are all built with sufficient sound proofing (as this adds to the developer's costs). Sounds like they've cut the costs and left us to take the cr@p, Disgraceful |
| 1563 | Anonymous | As a regular visitor to the Spotted Dog I totally agree with the view that the proposed restrictions will be to the detriment of the area as a whole and are totally at odds with attempts to 'regenerate' Digbeth. People who want total quiet should not choose to live in a city centre and then set about trying to stop one of the very things which brings life and vibrancy to an area, one which has done so for many years. |

| 1570 | Mark Jeffcoat | |
| 1571 | Andrew Poole | Why on earth do the city council grant planning permision for these blocks of apartments right next to an established live music venue like the spotted dog and then uphold the complaints of the new tenants. The only obnoxious noise I have heard in the area was rap music blaring out of the open windows of the said Abacus apartments last summer. Maybe I should complain about that |
| 1572 | Bernadette Poole | Another cock up by the wonderful city planners |
| 1573 | Anonymous | Shocking!!!!!! If people move into the area they should consider what they are moving next to. The Spotted Dog has been part Digbeth for years and would be a reason why so many people have moved to the area. If you want to live in silence you should buy a flat somewhere else. It would be wrong to take away the character of one of the best pubs in the area. ''Save The Spotted Dog'' |

| 1575 | Richard Hubbard | this is a fantastic Pub. which, I am sorry to say I have only discovered after the noise abatement order was issued. I have visited the Spotted Dog regularly in the past 6 months and consider it to be an excellent venue. it troubles me greatly to see a fine piece of local history under threat by the views of a very small number of people. |
| 1576 | Melanie Smith | |
| 1577 | Martin Little | Great pub |
| 1578 | vicky | Maybe we could offer them a flat swap: Me and my boyfriend would quite happily live in Abacus. The JQ is deathly after 4pm! I wish people would engage brain-cells. It's the mindless, 'do-as-you're-told' moronic outsiders that ruin things if they see people having fun. Just like only child syndrome, only it seems to have carried over into their adulthood. They should just fuck off back under the rock from whence they came. |

| 1581 | Martin Fisher | Keep Digbeth & its musical heritage alive. Too much of the great City of Birmingham has already been 'sanitised' and we're in danger of losing all of its character.
Full support to the Spotted Dog! |
| 1582 | ginny appleton | |
| 1583 | Caroline Ahern | The Spotted Dog should remain available to everyone as it is a very vital social meeting point for many people. If you do not like any noise from pubs then do not live near them. Simple solution as far as I am concerned. |

| 1600 | Nick Lockey | This will be a real tragedy for Brum if a lovely old boozer like the Spotted dog is put in jeopardy. Rich, premium appartment dwellers have already forced the closure of my old favourite drinking den (The gloroius Fiddle and Bone by the NIA) and I don't want to see it happen again. Perhaps these people should have had the foresight to check out the proximity of local venues to their shiny new bachelor pads BEFORE they put their deposits down, eh?
If you can afford city centre living, you can afford earplugs. |
