Comments: BT have rolled out FTTC to most of Basingstoke, but neglected to install it in the locations that really need it i.e. Chineham.

Comments: Several areas within the Borough of Basingstoke & Deane have poor broadband reception, some even unable to receive broadband leaving them with a now highly unacceptable dial-up option for internet access, and it is about time that infrustructure was put in place to enable higher speeds to be accessed by everyone!

Comments: Broadband speed in Chineham is very variable and I believe has become much worse in the last couple of years. The Chineham housing area is in close proximity to the Industrial Estate and many of the companies there are associated with the communications industry. I cannot believe they are subjected to the same broadband facility as the local housing. Many people now work part of their time from home and it is extremely difficult sometimes to download documents and even send emails if they have attachments.

Comments: I have taken to telling important people that I have no broadband connection at all as I cannot be assured of my emails reaching me. This is no way to conduct a "service". Why should we be penalised and left behind the rest of the Country when it comes to internet use? Increasingly everyone wants your email address, for you to pay bills online and to do internet banking this is impossible here. Please do all possible to recitfy this situation.

Comments: My Broadband service is complete rubbish. How ironic in what we are told by the Government is their policy of fairness for all to find that some residents of Chineham now have the super fast speed service, while the rest of us are left with little better than nothing and with no prospect of acquiring the service in the foreseeable future.

Comments: The internet speed in Chineham is appalling, taking a long time to load each internet page and making video streaming almost impossible. I feel that the residents of Chineham deserve a faster broadband speed to validate the money that they are currently paying for such a poor service in comparison to most other places in the country.

Comments: I live in Lychpit (adjacent to Chineham) and I can get 500KB broadband if lucky. My mother in the urban hotspot of the Isle of Wight gets 6-7MB!! I could happily work at home some days a week if the connection was better quality. As it is I have to drive to my company's office every day. Please can something be done to improve broadband locally.

Comments: Fed up of paying full price for 20MB Sky Internet Broadband, simply so I can have unlimited data, and not reaping the benefit of the extra 19.5MB I'm missing out on! I can't see a good reason why the Chineham exchange can't be brought into line with the rest of the country's standard.
