Name: Andy Guy on Aug 7, 2008Comments: I experienced the pain of trying to increase the number of installations allowed for the creature creator. Their final response was one of "You are lucky we've given you this". Damn EA, I'm their customer! I run a servicing company, and there is no way I'd be so superior to my clients. Ban the DRM!Flag

Name: Graeme Strang on Aug 8, 2008Comments: DRM's which encourage piracy are stupid from any angle. I cannot understand how *any* company, let alone one as money-minded as EA, could fail to see the point that punishing paying customers with a system which does little (if anything) to deter pirates is a *bad idea*.Flag

Name: Jacob O'Sullivan on Aug 8, 2008Comments: Spore is one of the only games I have actually considered legally buying from EA Games in years, the last game I bought from them was Battlefield 2 but they ruined it by having such poor master server support. If EA Games don't stop using such ridiculous protection methods then I will happily acquire my games through other methods, I think that the online activation check is acceptable but it shouldn't force players to have an internet connection, this kind of 'copyright protection' is ridiculous and actually stops honest customers from playing their games, enough is enough. I will gladly make EA Games personally bleed if they continue to treat customers like they are criminals.Flag

Name: Thomas Glynn on Aug 10, 2008Comments: EA is going to lose a lot of custom when word of this seeps into websites around the world. If EA do not rectify the current DRM situation of three activations by simply changing hardware, which includes internet connection, then I will obtain a pirated copy. Thats £40.00 in my pocket and not yours EA.Flag
