| 103 | James Chant | Spillers Records is a massive part of my life, still. I shiver stepping through the doors. It's one of Cardiff's major landmarks and has been a place of solace and inspiration for countless successful musicians and artists in the area. To say i was obsessed in my teenage years is beyond an understatement. I truly believe i'd be a completely different person without it. Spillers' death is unthinkable. |
| 104 | Adam Walton | Spillers isn't just an asset to Cardiff's musical heritage, it's a very important part of Wales' musical infrastructure too. It's one of only a handful of shops where Welsh independent artists can get their music stocked and sold to the populace.
Please leave well alone. |

| 108 | Tracey Williams | Spillers HAS to stay exactly where it is. It's a world famous and integral part of Cardiff and it would be everyone's loss if it were forced to close. |

| 111 | Mr PRJones | A shop that 'Rocks'!! It MUST be saved. |
| 112 | DJ FuzzyFelt (Dean) | It is vital that shops like Spillers in Caerdydd and Probe in Liverpool(also under threat) exist,as much as anything where would we get most of the stwff that Adam plays without them.In the days when most of Radio 1 and the music press is run by the big record labels, these shops are the only places where we can by genuinely new music by new artists and get excellent tips and advise from people who don't suck corporate cock.
Pob Lwc! |
| 113 | Dave Hayes | Some things are more important than £s... |
| 114 | Rob Hasell | I bought many records in Spillers in my youth and still use it when I go home to Cardiff. The staff are extremely helpful and knowledeable, much more than any other shop i have used. Spillers is an asset to Cardiff and a piece of our heritage and should not be destroyed by corporate greed. |

| 116 | Geraint | this is more than just a record shop - it's a socially necessary service. If places like this can't survive commercially in the future then bodies like the arts council should be supporting them. I don't see any difference between what Spillers does and somewhere like the Chapter arts centre - they both support local artists and have a role to play in educating, challenging and entertaining the public in the 'arts' |

| 127 | Chris Moore | I have no idea of the number of records I've bought at Spillers over the years. Particularly in the late 80s and 90s when I was presenting the weekend soul shows on Red Dragon FM. I'd spend hours in the shop with a fella called Leighton who used to sort me out with promos and imports to play on the shows. If ever I'm near the shop I can't resist just going in and browsing, even for a few minutes. |
| 128 | Rob Broome | Life without Spillers would be a very boring place indeed. I can remember going there all the time as a teenager. |

| 132 | Rob Williams | Spillers is an essential part of Cardiff's retail culture. Don't you dare try and take it away!!! |
| 133 | Rhys Herdman | My favourite independent record shop in the UK. Its support for artists who care about music over money is a breath of fresh air, especially considering its close neighbours, and should be actively encouraged as an important cultural hub. Its range of stock is unbelievable. Plus, where else can you do all your Christmas shopping (for yourself) in one place, and while doing so, Arab Strap amble out from the back room and perform two feet away from you?! Do not let Spillers close, please. Thank you. |
| 134 | Marcus Maurice | best place to buy music in cardiff! itll be a shame if it goes. |

| 137 | Michael Schillace | It would be an outrage if Spillers was to close shop. The fact that it is the oldest known record shop alone should be reason enough for Spillers to be supported by Cardiff city council. |

| 140 | Eilir Pierce | Why buy your welsh lamb from tesco when you have a great family butcher round the corner who knows every inch of the lam's inner thighs, the right temperature to slow cook it and the right speed to play it.

| 142 | Meurig Hailstone | It is essential that spillers is saved, not only because of its heritage but it is the only independant record store left in Cardiff city centre, and can provide a service that only an independant store can! |
| 143 | Neil Crud | Our heritage is important |

| 150 | anne cakebread | Not only is Spillers one of the main reasons for staying in Cardiff, and a local tourist attraction, it is the heart of of welsh music. The loss of Spillers will not only damage a local community but the impact would be devastating for the whole of the welsh music industry. Promoting Peppermintpatti we cannot emphasise the importance of this shop enough. |
