Greg | Spillers is an absolute gem for proper music lovers with niche needs. If it stays open for longer maybe more people will come just to feel a real music shop again. If it is closed the world will be forcefed Arctic Monkeys for the sake of a pound sign. And I will reject music and become a lawyer
paul stewart | A massive asset to cardiff. Its the kind of place that makes cities different from others. We need these places to remain. It gives people choice, provides more a sense of ownership to local music/ art scenes. A brilliant little shop.

Mark Tate | These shop are part of our history and the large corporate companies should not be allowed to swallow them up!
Tim Jenkins | Absolutely disgraceful. Once again big business reaches its bony fingers into the city's chest and rips out its beating heart.
HIlary Dollah | I have known Spillers Record shop ever since I was a child..It is an institution and should be kept going as long as it is wanted. Which I think is by many many people. Good luck with the petition

Elaine Lewis | Save the music. This is a great shop and will devalue cardiff city centre. We need the indepent stores to retain our individuality.
Matt Price | where else can any self respecting teenager in Cardiff get their music from? This would be a tragic loss to music and the city.

Brian | I knew Ted and Elsie Spiller before they retired to Pembrokeshire and they ran the business to prfection.
Susan Meredith-Jones | My father Grenfell, now aged 91, born 1916, bought all his records there when he was a boy and later as a student at the uni. Hehas very fond memories of Spillers. There will be no character left in Cardiff before long. Just modern, boring, shopping centres like the rest of the country.

Karlo A. Aganinta |
Jonathan Evans | There is no way this store should close.
Anonymous | Please save Spillers, as this is one of the oldest record shops in the world. It would be such a shame for us to lose such an important piece of history.
Mihangel Ifans | If Spillers disappears we will be forced to listen and buy only the music the record companies want us to, dictating future "musical tastes" to a commercially driven agenda. This is one of the last bastions to stop this happening
dyfrfig harries | its about cardiff started looking after the very things that made it!
