Name: Eric on Jan 7, 2008Comments: Show the character the way he was meant to be. With Power and Responsibility. Selling off to Mephisto (representative of the devil, a demon, demonic force) is not what this hero would do. Above all else, taking marriage vows means putting your wife first. The story in OMD took away those vows and responsibility. Stan Lee, along with Steve Ditko, was the creator of Spider-Man. I wonder how Mr. Ditko is feeling now that 2 of his creations have been torn apart over a couple years. First, the Question, and now Spider-Man. It was Stan Lee's idea to marry Spidey. It is his creation and you are undoing everything his creator wanted. The double page spread preview of ASM 546 shows just how messed up the continuity is becoming. Please, Quesada, fix this. If not you, I hope there is a higher up at Marvel that will see this fixed. I don't mean insult to any writers or artists, but I hope ASM sales begin to tank. This is not the same character that I have grown up with.Flag

Name: Matthew Kidd on Jan 7, 2008Comments: I started collecting Spider-Man books nearly 20 years ago, around the same time he was just married. I have never had a problem with the marriage and saw it as a way of further evolving the character. What "One More Day" did was a regression the character, and I will not bother picking up the book.Flag

Name: George on Jan 7, 2008Comments: For the first time in many years and never thought this would happen I have cancelled all subscriptions to the Spider-Man series because of the outcome of one more day. Growing up I have looked up to the character and for him to make a decision with the devil just throws away the " With Great Power, Must Come great responsibility " message. Not only that but, I am extremely dissapointed with the death of captain america, sabretooth, elektra becoming a skrull, and the hulk turning red and I can deal with that but, destroying and seperating Peter and Mary Jane watson has seriously pissed me off. I will not contribute or collect any more issues of Spider-Man unless this issue is reversed or fixed ! ! !Flag

Name: Bev Hisey on Jan 7, 2008Comments: Destroying this beautiful relationship that most of us would aspire to is an atrocity in itself. Without the 20 years of the marriage, he is a completely different character. Unfortunately a selfish coward who makes a deal with a demon to salve his conscience, and kicks his faithful wife and unborn child to the curb. Not the Peter Parker I've known since 1967. (And no, I don't want him to get old and die in the books)Flag

The marriage never made it harder for me to relate to Spider-Man. I don't see where the hatred of the marriage comes from. Please fix this, and undo OMD.Flag

Name: Ed Hansbury on Jan 8, 2008Comments: While OMD has just ended and BND not really started, I think the excuse of it's magic and that's all we need to know, treats the readers like small children. I would be fine with the marriage breaking up if it happened in a real and believable, infidelity, drifting apart or something creative with a touch of real-world. All this says to me is, we're trying to align our franchises (comics and movies) up....Flag

I will not buy any Spider-Man books and didn't purchase this storyline. Also, bring back Steve Rogers as Captain America. Stop treating these iconic characters with such disrespect. It's just sad and shameful.Flag

Name: Michael Heitkemper on Jan 8, 2008Comments: Mr Q, can't you see that ending the marriage this way only makes Peter look older Why can't readers who want to see an unmarried Peter read Ultimate or Marvel Adventures Why destroy 20 some years of continuity And if you want me to read Spider-Girl for a married Peter, you have to understand that it's not the same thing. If no one can come up with a more creative story for a married Peter than to tear the marriage apart, I must say that's pretty sorry. Bring the marriage back. You know you can.Flag
