Leo SmithAs a result of OMD I have dropped all Marvel comics from my pull list and will not return to buying them until this fiasco has been invalidated.
Joe OConnorI'm embarrassed explaining this story to my Spider-Fan 6 year old. It's absolutely terrible. Joe Quesada tells us smoking and divorce are bad things, but allowing a Satan figure to erase your marriage is something that's fine to see print.

Jeff MillsI despise the direction Marvel has decided to take Spider-Man and will now get my Spider-Man fix from the Ultimate line.

AnonymousSorry Mr. Quesada. A spider-man fan doesn't butcher a character he "loves." Please get fired.
Jeff LoaisigaOMD = PURE BULL SH*T
Alex WilgusAll characters must grow, change must come to even the most beloved of comic book heroes. We will always have the great moments of past Spidey to read again and again and long live the relaunches (like the Ultimate series), but in Amazing we all want to see the future of Spidey, not a re-hash of the past. I appreciate the BND team's work, but their efforts should be allowed to be focused into a more insightful narrative than the ridiculous and downright silly deus ex machina of OMD. Altering the timeline is simple: do a relaunch, don't screw with continuity in the flagship series, it's just lame. This doesn't revitalize the Peter/Mary Jane dynamic at all. What this shows is a shallowness in assuming that all relational drama occurs pre-marriage, which is simply not the case. OMD was simply a magical, cosmic divorce which despite the pressures that led our hero to it, remains as all divorce does: a destroyer of romance. As for better directions the story could go: Personally I love the post-Civil War identity revelation. This is the actual Brand New Day, not a tired re-hash of the past in an ambiguous time period. I was very excited to see where Spidey was going post-Civil War; never did I dream that it would be backward. In short OMD was a terrible, terrible mistake that needs to be dispelled by the same lame, magical and ridiculous storytelling devices that gave the new reality its life. Even "Oh God it was all just a dream" would be acceptable. Please Mr. Quesada, just tell us this is a bad dream.
Dave DavisWith Ultimate Spider-Man, there is already a character that lives a pre-married state. I liked the fact that Peter was married and had a family life, including a supportive spouse. It added so much to the character. While I'm on the subject, I don't buy the fact that NO ONE in the entire Marvel Universe could heal Aunt May. The X-Men have healers! I don't buy the reasoning, and having Peter make a deal with the devil (and a selfish one at that, with the "I don't know if I could live with myself" reasoning) is a huge black mark on the character. May would never have allowed it had she been able to protest, and every one involved knew that.
Isaac DiskindI honestly can't understand how this retcon will work work at all. I enjoyed Spider-Man's new life in the public eye, and as an Avenger. This was done so messily and I'm seriously considering whether or not I want to subscribe to the Brand New Day ASM for the next year if I can expect a lazy retcon to undo years of interesting character development.
Sam Bennettdude why? you killed the one relationship thats older than i am and thats actually one i can fully believe in

AnonymousI'm not going to stop buying Spidey books because of one (really, really) bad storyline, but I want to voice my displeasure about it. One More Day was like changing gears without popping the clutch first--all of a sudden you're in a different gear and you may have caused long-term damage in the process.
ElizabethI was actually looking forward to the new direction Spidey's and MJ's lives would take with the whole Civil War arc, but since the OMD storyline began it already felt like something was... off. The characterization, the direction the plot was taking, and even JSM's amazing storytelling seemed forced to fit Quesada's and Marvel's wishes to make this absurd retcon. A change like that seemed more appropiate for an alternate series. Why not just leave ASM as it was and tell this horrible new story in a new book called "Spider-Man: One More Day" or something? The new ASM is just not worth reading anymore.

JamieThis story in itself is making me quit reading comics. This is just a cheap way for Marvel to try and bring new readers to comics and piss on its current readers.

Michael TarulliI have read the first issue of Brand New Day, and I hated the new direction. After 26 years, full runs of Spectacular and Web Of....and every single continuous issues Amazing since 1981, I am dropping Spider-Man completely. I am not doing this out of anger, but out of sadness. The character, and his surrounding cast, were completely unrecognizable to me based on the growth they have achieved over the last 20+ years. They were no longer the people I knew and read about every week. And for that reason, I can no longer read Amazing Spider-Man.

Andrew SalmonQuesada step down before you run Marvel into the ground! Please!
Freeman SemonsConsider me a long time comic book collector (28+ years) who will no longer be collect Spider-Man as a result of the One More Day storyline..............With 3 Spidey books coming out per month that means 36 issues per year. And with a $3.99 price tag attached to each issue, Marvel does not deserve my $144 no matter how good the Brand New Day issues may turn out to be. 'Nuff said.
Joel Franciscobad.... just bad
Craig UptonLook i've been reading books for 35 years and i owned a comic book shop for 7 years and thru thick and thin i followed Spidey. But what u did with OMD really was a cop out. A divorce would have ben fine or Aunt May dying. But wiping out 20 plus years of history is just plain stupid. It' a slap in the face of all true believer's. I suggest u find a way to fix this story line fast. I still run a subscription base of 40 people from when i had my shop and i have had 7 people cance Spider-man after last week. I'd rather have u say we messed up now than a year from now. Craig Upton Heroes for Sale 508-540-8999 zaohod@aol.com
Devin ShyminskyMan that is lazy writing. So what happened to Civil War? how can you explain that? His unmasking was one of the most important events that led to the culmination of the story! What waste. Let the past be the past. characters are supposed to evolve. Not de-evolve! l
C. FortsonI'm trying to keep this from getting too negative a comment. But Joe, this sooo silly and actually quite demeaning to the character's legacy. He unmasked during Civil War and no you have him making a deal with Mephisto, this is just unbelievable both figuratively and literally ffor anyone who's been following Spider-Man. Hopefully this just turns out to be an early and prolonged April fools joke. Otherwise I'll be officially dropping my Spider-Man subscriptions and will urge others who might be not to do so until this is all cleaned up... seriously Joe, this sucks, please fix it sooner rather than later.

Dave GruenI will not continue to buy your comics until this situation is resolved.
CodyI liked the marriage and would like to see it put back the way it was. What was the purpose of the unmasking in Civil War if this is what we get now? Oh wait, I know, it's purpose was to get us to this terrible idea that Joe Quesada has, and how is this a new status quo when we're back to the 70's Spiderman? I use to get many DC and Marvel books but Marvel books are no longer on my pull list. Goodbye Marvel, DC Comics is the only comic brand I care about now.
