Name: Jim Middleton on May 26, 2008Comments: I oppose the proposed housing developments. The Community has little enough opportunity left to spend leisure time in this area. Build the houses somewhere else. Perhaps next to the BAA Senior Management 's houses! JimFlag

Name: TOM BROCKBANKS on May 27, 2008Comments: I OPPOSE THIS, THERE ARE BETTER UNUSED BROWN FIELD SITES AND LAND THAT IS FAR UNDER USED. WHY NOT DRAIN THE RESIVOIR AT LONDON ROAD ITS NOT USED ANY MORE AND THE FLIES IT CAUSES ARE AN ABSOLUTE PEST.WHAT ABOUT THE LAND NEXT TO THE A30 USE THAT INSTEAD OF BUILDING UGLY WEARHOUSING. LOOK AT ALL THE EMPTY OFFICE SPACE IN STAINES AND THROUGHOUT THE BROUGH, USE THAT FIRST.LOOKS LIKE SOME COMPANIES ARE GOING TO MAKE A LOT OF MONEY! BY USING GREEN BELT LAND.Flag

Name: Anonymous on May 27, 2008Comments: Following the announcement of land grab in Spelthorne area with particular reference to Leacroft Sports and Leisure centre for the community, and Nottcuts garden centre where the local community of all age groups gain pleasure and are able to follow the hobbies and pastimes at both these proposed land grab sites. . And the pleasure education exercise and discipline that is provided at Leacroft . This is, i believe is taking away yet another part of the local residents human rights to enjoy both the above facilities provided for many years for local people. These centres are both providing discipline, exersize, education, in many directions not to mention Spelthorne in Bloom! I suggest you look in the direction of Laleham, Shepperton, Halliford where empty fields are prime sites for building houses in far greater quantity than small sites which are included in the land grab. Taking these small sites in Spelthorne is not neccesary and the problems like sewerage, drainage, access points for council refuge collection, deliverey vans and the emergency services high density areas are already stretched to the limit. The increased population of Spelthorne need these facilities now and in the future as part of their human rights.Flag

Name: Anonymous on May 28, 2008Comments: I am opposing the proposed developnent of Leacroft and Shepperton Community youth centres. Communities need these facilities to help people feel they belong to a community and to keep young people occupied The Oast House in Staines I feel would be a good development siteFlag

Name: Kim Watts on May 29, 2008Comments: I can't believe that again our leisure resources are under threat to build new homes. Question if we build on every piece of land - where are the people in these houses suppose to go for leisure, parking . There are enough bored youths out there without closes more valuable resourcesFlag

Name: Alan Holland-Avery on May 30, 2008Comments: I totally oppose the closure and/or sale of any Youth Facility within Spelthorne. Such a closure would constitute a major anti-social act and any elected representative who supports such an anti-social act should be treated accordingly. Just one teenage law breaker can cost society £100,000. However, a well run youth facility can save several times this amount annually by saving our young people from crime. Invest in our youth and you invest in our future! Yours sincerely Alan Holland-AveryFlag

Are the support (such as schools, GP surgeries, hospitals, social services)+ council services in place for this increase of residents in Staines....Flag
