Name: Andy Stalder on May 8, 2002Country: USComments: The amount of coverage given to NASCAR has grown excessively; now when you tune in to Speed Channel you're more likely to see guys with Southern accents sitting around babbling about the last race incessantly, rather than seeing touring car racing, bikes or some of the other interesting programs that Speedvision seemed to provide more of. Enough is enough! Give NASCAR its own channel! And replace it with more diverse auto/bike road racing!Flag

It is all about the all migthy green. I forgot, well since I paid my cable and satellite dish companies to see motorcycle races, and you do not let me see it, the I will send you the bill so you pay it! That multiplied by all the riders, should make a big bill, I guess YOU can solve this problem. Nascar does not belong in my TV, and that is why, I want you to take care of my bill, if you pull some $#@* like that again. PS How can some one crash doing a left turn Real racers turn left and rightFlag

Name: D B on May 16, 2002Country: USComments: I am unsure of what it is, but it seems to me that, this year, the Speed Channel has favored NASCAR over everything else. Were they paid off to do that or something Chances are, yes. Money talks while we complain. You see, not everyone cares for NASCAR, Men Behind the Wrench, and all that recent horse waste on TV. The real action is on the road circuits, specially where bikes are involved. Bottom line is, I watch Speed a whole lot less than I did last year. I hope a motorcycle enthusiast like myself with the means and good intentions, can start up a Bike Channel, separate from Speed. Then we won't have this problem. They even got Dave Despain doing this Nascar nonsense. He was my favorite presentator until then.Flag

Name: Michael Barger on May 19, 2002Country: USComments: I am an avid fan of Speed Channel, but I disagree with the decision to interrupt an scheduled airing of a live race. By this I mean any race, but especially a live motorcycle race,of which we do not see very often. Speed Channel is a wonderful resource for all motorsports fans. If the NASCAR news was so important maybe they could have pre-emted the following event and advertised that during the live race. I'm sure that many race fans, motorcycle and NASCAR alike would have been happy with that outcome. Other than this example I believe Speed Channel is doing an outstanding job of satisfying the racing enthusiast community.Flag

Name: Ryan Brown on May 20, 2002Country: USComments: I was extremely disappointed that I could not watch the AMA 600 SuperSport race at Sears Point live. What made the situation worse was that the race was interupted for NASCAR highlights, not an actual race...just a few talking heads.Flag

Name: Rod Mckeithan on May 20, 2002Country: USComments: I would certainly like to echo the sentiment from above. The motorcycling community acknowledge and appreciate coveerages of out beloved sport.I understand the involvmentof Speed and NASCAR,but to preempt the show as done recently. Many fans pay for your service and this is next to fraud. If a channel for NASCAR isnt fesible try it for the other venues and see what viewership would be about. You think NASCAR is all that try to estimate how much is spent by cycle fans across the USA.Flag

Name: Stephen Moon on May 22, 2002Country: USComments: I was really afraid when I saw the name change from Speedvison to Speed that it would become a total Nascar channel, turns out I wasn,t too far off the mark. I love all racing, I can even put up with some Nascar now and then but I also think Nascar should have it's own channel so that other forms of racing can have some room to be showcased once again. Heck, give me lawnmower racing! Please slow the Nascar train down. Thank You and have a good one.Flag
