We, as members of GLATA are petitioning the Board of GLATA, pursuant to Article 2, Section 2, of the GLATA Constitution, to call a special meeting of the general membership.  The call for the special meeting is to discuss, and take appropriate action in regard to the following:

 1.  The required responsibilities, duties, and their application, by the Officers and Board, in regard to the rules, both explicit and implicit, specified by the IRS, State of Illinois Corporation, GLATA Constitution, By Laws, Standing Rules, Robert’s Rules of Order, and their intended application during meetings, in required record keeping, the minutes, correspondence, including appropriate language, demeanor and appropriate conduct, including Board Member attendance at Board Meetings and the misuse of rules.

 2.  The state of the GLATA Treasury during the past 6 months, including bank accounts, record keeping, depositing of checks, check writing, reports to Members, the 01/12/2011 signed Treasurer’s Report, and method(s) of dissemination to the membership.
