305 Beth BurnThe plan supported by PETS,Inc. and others makes far more sense then Project Pet. We need to prevent more unwanted animals from suffering. Economically, it is a better use of taxpayers' money. Thank you, Beth Burn

317 Rhonda McCurryAs a Lexington County resident, who also owns property in Richland County, I am requesting that you support Pet's Inc. in their attempt to provide a spay/neuter program. It is the only way to deal with the abundance of unwanted animals! Thank You!!!
318 Monica Boucher-RomanoWe do not need a building out in that area. Those people can afford to Spay/Neuter their animals!!! What we need is MORE SPAY/NEUTERS!!!!!!!!

320 Rocky CallahanThis is a no-brainer! Even a simpleton can see the foolishness in giving rich people a big building at taxpayer expense. The spay & neuter fund proposed by Pets, Inc. is practical and would benefit the taxpayers directly. Is it even possible that County Council can't see the logic in such a simple decision? Or is this just another way to buddy up with the Mungos. This is a simple matter and the decision should be obvious. We should all be wondering how they are representing our interests in more complex matters. Watch how each one votes on this. It will tell you which ones will sell us out on other issues.

323 Nola ArmstrongSpayNeuter is the answer to our pet overpopulation problem. It is impossible to find homes for all the unwanted pets in the Midlands - we must stop the problem before it starts. Agressive Spay/Neuter has worked in other communities and can work for us as well!

330 Dudley JacksonPlease consider setting aside the $3M for a spay/neuter assistance program such as Pets Inc. has suggested. If the money is spent for a building, the community will be in the same position as before, with too many unspayed cats and dogs and individuals that have difficulty paying for such operations. Alternately, spaying and neutering such a large number of animals will significantly reduce animal overpopluation and the need for $3M shelters to be built in the future.

337 Christie BlantonI have proudly adopted from this facility. Pets Inc knows what they are doing. They have a great heart for this mission. I was impressed at how loving they were with the animals and thoroughly educating the adopting families and assisting with proper care of the animals even after adoption. They are running a tight and busy ship I assume on nickels, dimes, and prayers. I believe the tax payers money would be better invested in supporting this outstanding job they are already doing. By removing the financial burden from them by funding their cause maybe they can expand for less than the cost of a new building in the hands of someone with lesser experience. They are conveniently located in an easily accessable place from any side of town and have proven to be wise and experienced enough to use whatever funding they receive beyond expectations to make a difference.

342 Helen FoleyBuilding construction and maintenance, staff to man and utilities costs are an incredible waste that could be better utilized through this spaying and neutering program. Please use common sense when making a choice for all animals and the citizens you represent and whose money you spend.
343 Ann Marie HelmsIt appears that a service infrastructure already exists and that available funds could best help animals by strengthening those existing services rather than being diverted for bricks and mortar.
344 AnonymousPETS, Inc. has done a tremendous job and I am so very impressed with their methods in every way. Please help them!

348 Cheryl AllisonI live in Southeast Richland County, in the Lower Richand area. Every day I see loose animals roaming. I hear about people who are looking for a home for puppies or kittens their pets have had. If we had more services offered (and especially to those in the rural areas) like the free spay/neuter coupons or greatly reduced fees, that would be more advantageous in the long run. The no-kill shelters and rescues offer a valuable service state-wide but without something quickly being done to bring under control the fast growing number of unfixed animals, it will only become worse as all shelters become grossly overcrowded. PLease don't pour all the funds into one program, but use it wisely so that all residents (and animals) of richland and lexington counties will benefit.
