651 Amanda ValoisI want to sign the petition. It makes sense to prevent more suffering than build another pretty building in Harbison.

671 Gail FoxBy all means we desperately need a service of this type. To many families love their pets but have to chose between their necessities and spay/neutering a pet. About time someone came up with this idea!!!!

689 Melissa RhodesI have raised 2 abandoned litters of kittens , with the help of my male german shepherd, over the last two years. I strongly agree that all pets should be spayed or neutered so the job of raising these beautiful creatures is not put on people like myself. If it wasn't for the lower cost services that the humane society of the grand strand, I would have had to take a small loan to pay for the care of my babies. Columbia is in need of the same services that Myrtle Beach residents are offered. Yes, I ended up keeping ALL of them! Sign me the not too crazy cat lady!

694 Pam DinkinsI have 4 cats that are all strays. I had 6 but managed to find homes for 2.I have had all but 1 spayed and neutered. The last cat was put out in our yard about 2 weeks ago. I am trying to find a low cost neuter for him so that I can keep him. Right now, my "original" cats are not taking to him so good and I am hoping the neuter will help this. I also need to find a vet that gives a discount for stray cats or multiple cats in a household. The cost for an annual check-up, shots, heart worm preventitive can get pretty costly with 4 cats. Millcreek used to try to help when Dr.Dew and Dr. Thorsen were there but not any more. If you can help , please e-mail. I have also left a message at the office of Pets,Inc. I am a member of The Humane Society & The ASPCA and I try to regularly contribute. I love all animals, never met one I didn't like(except for this chow that didn't like me)

700 AnonymousIf Project Pet wants to build an adoption center on Harbison, which is an asinine waste of taxpayers' money, why don't they turn to the wealthy families that support their project? This adoption center is fulfilling the hobbies of Columbia's richest and elite families - including the Mungo family (surely you know them... Mungo has built a lot of homes in Columbia). If these people want to have their little rich showcase on Harbison why don't they fund it themselves? I am sure the Mungo's can afford to foot the bill better than the taxpayers.... Boycott Mungo's homes until his wife stops wasting our tax money on her little projects!!! There are plenty of other (better) home builders around Columbia - those that don't expect the taxpayers to foot the bill for the 'charity of the week' of their spouses! (Check into the campaign donations to the councilmembers who voted to give the money to Project Pet... I'm betting the Mungo family has 'donated' money to their campaigns in the past - or will in the future. It's always nice to know that our politicians are all bought and paid for by the wealthy residents and businesses.)
