| 612 | Jennifer Frank | Education and offering specialized programs such as s Spay/Neuter program would be the fastest way to decrease the number of unwanted pets in Lexington and Richland Counties. I hope that you will help support the efforts of PETS, Inc., a no-kill animal shelter in their valiant efforts to give people the opportunity to have their pets spayed/neutered when they cannot afford the procedure on their own. This will be far less costly than providing another shelter.
Thank you for your time. |

| 615 | kellen mcfadden | If people were more responsible there wouldn't be innocent babies being abandoned like the one we found in our neighborhood! |
| 616 | Betsy Kinley | In this day and time, it makes much more sense to spay/neuter these helpless animals so we do not have an OVERPOPULATION problem in Columbia! It will stop the horrific cycle of neglect. People should be held accountable for how they treat their pets. Spaying and neutering is one way we as Columbians can pitch in and make a difference!!!! Please reconsider your decision! |

| 618 | Tawney Wade | Oh, please stop the building of this off of Harbison it is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of for many reasons! |
| 619 | Derek Bleyle | Please reconsider putting the money where it will do the most good and not into a building that won't provide care (shots, surgeries, etc) for animals. |
| 620 | Jane Boyter | Please help these poor animals from having more unwanted animals. remember these are God's creatures and we are their caretakers |

| 625 | Jennifer Hall | Why are we spending thousands in tax dollars to fund a program when other programs are already in existance? |
| 626 | Jennifer Simmons | I strongly believe in the work that Pets Inc. does. We have four animals, all of which were adopted through Pets, Inc. We've also sent numerous friends their way as well because of the way they help animals and promote spaying and neutering. |
| 627 | Sue Howell_Fafchamps | Builidn an animal visitor center would LOOK good but not BE GOOD for the majority of animals that are homeless. PEOPLE need to spay/neuter or the problem will never decrease...infact building this center could make the problem worse. i beleive in Pets Inc and theri msison. Please reconsider this propsal. |
| 628 | Molly Hartnett | As a former member of the Michigan Humane Society, And a former employee of a extremely crowded animal shelter that housed strays for 3 counties, It has been my experience that spay/neuter programs do more for the communities overpopulation problems, than a shiny new building ever could.
If the council continues on the path of building a 3 million dollar facility, that said facility will more than likey be overcrowded within 2 years with new animal births and spawn that could have been prevented had a spay/neuter program been enacted rather than a new facility.
Believe me, I speak from experience!!!! |

| 636 | Sarah Watson | We need to work together to find a solution for as many animals as possible- not just a few. A fancy adoption center does not do ENOUGH with that much money. Taxpayers want their money to benefit many, not just a select few. |
| 637 | Beverly Pott | What are you THINKING???
There are TONS of pets in my neighbourhood whose owners cannot afford to get them fixed- so they breed and breed and breed.
Is Project Pet lining your pockets?
It would certainly seem so.
Step up to the plate and do the right thing. Your constituents are watching. |

| 645 | Kristin Longshore | Let's be a little more proactive about an obvious problem in South Carolina. A spay and neuter program is much more efficient and addresses the problem of overpopluation and animal abondoment at the source. I as a tax payer would much rather see funding to this program than to a project pet facility. |

| 648 | Karen LaVenia | Let's not let politics and egos get in the way of saving innocent animals. Project Pet doesn't take in strays or owner turn-ins. That is WRONG. I prefer to see the counties monies be spent wisely not on some fru-fru fancy "look at us" facility where the rich people live. |
