Name: Andrew Mullins on Oct 25, 2007Comments: This is a no brainer, if we are not going to employ a formal research department, let's at least have some interns who can use our AAAA and other research tools to back up our concepts. Perfect examples of interns utilized well include the Michelob Crafts and Specialties exploration as well as the STL Tour Center research project. THanksFlag

Name: Ann Castellano on Oct 25, 2007Comments: We should definitely do this, but it's critical that there be an actual program...someone has to own it. That means making sure we hire the right people, keep them busy, ensure they're properly oriented to the company, etc.Flag

Name: Shelley Hibdon on Oct 25, 2007Comments: I am totally in favor of interns and we do have a program of sorts. We have had several interns working here this year, not all of them during the summer. The key is someone taking responsibility to mentor this individual. We have had too many interns in the past who sat around all summer bored. All managers had an opportunity last year to request an intern(s) for this year and it wasn't restricted to the summer. Only a few submitted requests and even fewer that opted to fill the spots that had been approved. Now that we are working on next year's budget I will again be sending the request out to all managers. If anyone is interested in an intern for next year, send that request on to your manager.Flag
