Name: Charles Lesher on Jun 17, 2008Comments: Space Based Solar Power is capable of supplying the entire world with clean energy for millions of years. But it requires an extensive infrastructure before even the first watt can be used. Can we marshal and sustain the political will to accomplish something on this scale YES WE CAN!Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jun 19, 2008Comments: We have been Obama supporters always and continue our support. We love Senator Obama. My daughter is a Space scientist doing research at Ames Nasa Center at Mountain View, California. I know that the issues they were concerned about were the Space issues and knowing if they were going to still have a job in the future. Bush cut so much from the space program and they were very unhappy. They are completely dedicated to Space science. So Please Senator Obama, please look into getting someone really knowledgeable to look into the Space program. Thank you.Flag

Name: Johan T. Lindgren on Jun 20, 2008Comments: Dear Sir, At this time we are putting all our eggs in one basket. For the future of our children we need to expand beyond our planet and learn from our closest moons and planets how to keep ourselves alive. Any research or technology related to space has always spun off valuable ideas that can be marketed to the consumers of the world, be it simple things like velcro or more advanced liked teflon. In the end I implore you to set up a proper council that will further research and exploration of our solar system.Flag

Name: Randall Perrine on Jun 22, 2008Comments: I feel strongly that a weakening of interest in space exploration would have far-reaching impacts into unforeseen areas, such as education. My pursuit of a doctoral degree is only one small example: I am a graduate student pursuing a PhD in astrophysics; part of my thesis is focused on using data from the interplanetary probe "Cassini," which is currently orbiting Saturn. Thus my research is fueled by a strong commitment to space exploration. In addition, this mission is an international collaboration, showing that cooperation with other nations in space-related matters is of great importance.Flag
