I am appealing to all Waterbury area MLB baseball fans, in particular Yankees, Mets and Red Sox. We should all be concerned about what Comcast (and Telemedia before them) has done and continues to do to Sox fans. Yankees fans should know what all Mets and Red Sox fans already know, it could just as easily be the YES Network that is banned from the cable lineup.
Remember Yankee fans, as much as we all love a good Yankee - Red Sox battle, that is not what this is about. This is about our ONLY local cable company providing for all of its customers.
If you are not familiar with the issue, this is it in a nut shell. Nationally broadcast games are often Blocked because the Waterbury area is considered by Major League Baseball to be in the Red Sox broadcast region, but on the other hand Comcast in Waterbury refuses to offer the Red Sox channel (NESN) because they do not feel enough Sox fans exist in the area.
For what ever reason, Comcast has not offered NESN again this year, thus Sox fans can not watch games unless they leave Comcast and obtain a satellite dish. Manny have done just that but the problem is, many more fans do not have that option due to regulations in their communities preventing it or just plain not being able to obtain a signal due to their geographical location or other reception issues..
Regional cable companies should make all regional programming available, including sports channels. I am not asking for a hand out, charge those who want the service, but offer it.
I propose that all MLB fans in the area bond together via petitions and demand that Waterbury area Comcast provide programming for all three area MLB teams that exist in their customer base. Until this happens I proclaim the Waterbury area to be THE RED SOXLESS NATION!
Please sign below if you support our efforts:
Comcast is ignoring our demand for NESN access but your stories prove how many of us are being cut off from our own team. Take five minutes to find the contact page for their regional office and send them an email about the games you have missed. Tell your neighbors to do the same so we can show them this is not just a few people complaining.

We are approaching 250 signatures and need to hit this milestone before we contact the cable office. Post the link to Facebook right now and text three friends to get them to sign. Keep the momentum going until we finally get NESN back on our screens.

Ridiculous that I pay this much every month just to miss half the games. Put NESN on already.

Comcast is the worst. My apartment complex won't let me have a dish so I'm stuck with this garbage.
