Comments: We do not need one more extreme right wing judge appointed by George W. Bush to take a lifetime seat. Senator Feinstein, it is time to represent YOUR constituents and reject this nomination.

Comments: As a constituent and former neighbor, I strongly encourage you to vote against Southwick's confirmation. It's a crucial time, with current racial tensions and rampant homophobia, that you and other Senators support judges that truly work for the people and represent the people without any prejudice or malice. Unfortunately, Southwick is not that kind of judge.

Comments: Do not vote for this judge, stop caving to the right and trying to be a "centrist", remember your base or one of these days you will actually get voted out of office when you have some decent competition and end your rule.

Comments: Senator Feinstein's vote in favor of Judge Southwick has been extremely disappointing, especially in light of the protest that Democrats could have mounted against President Bush's Supreme Court nominations. Democratic leadership must act against the Republican take-over of the judiciary, not be complicit in it. Neoconservative jurisprudence wrecks our constitutional democracy, seeking to turn the clock well past the Warren Court era, to the Lochner Court era before the New Deal. Wealth disparities in the U.S. already reach back to 19th century robber baron opulence and wretched poverty for the masses. Whom does Judge Southwick favor

Comments: Please do not vote to confirm Judge Southwick, the conservatives now completely dominate the judiciary. He will continue to cause great harm to women, gays and lesbians and people of color, as he has done in his prior rulings. It is time to stand up for judges that will be fair to all Americansand to stand against those who do not have all of our interests within their ideological mindset.
