Name: Gamestation Rob on Mar 7, 2007Comments: The skate park is an eye-sore and haven to those without an agenda, or more specifically those without any agenda besides to cause grief. Build an indoor one with some sort of supervision and/or dedicated maintenance team. That way maybe finally the people who the park was originally created for will feel comfortable using it, without making them a target for anti-social yobs. This could only be a positive thing for the town, as it would not only reduce the number of skaters in the town centre (thus appeasing the elderly who seem to relish in getting in their way and then complaining to the likes of the Champion and Visiter that town is infested by "wheeled yobs"), but could also be a distinctive feature in the 'New Look' Southport that Sefton Council is creating. That's my two cents.Flag
