Name: Alan Tuttlebee on Nov 9, 2004

Comments: A road through Rochford would be an unparallelled environmental disaster, especially if it has to be raised on stilts above sea level

Comments: Please leave our rural town alone , although i belive prior to consultation these decisions are already made behind closed doors . good luck rochford fighting this campain ,suggest petition door to door as many people are unaware of proposals, not all people read papers or have computer access.

Name: Robin Payne on Nov 10, 2004
    Country: UK
Comments: The proposed route is ludicrous and of no benefit to anyone living in Rochford, Rayleigh, Hockley as no access points from these areas onto the proposed new road. Have the people of southend thought of the traffic congestion trying to reach the new road at Sutton

Name: Janice Payne on Nov 10, 2004

Comments: If the road does come through Rochford peripheral planning WILL follow. We must stop this now before it has begun.

Comments: I feel Green Belt land should not be sacrificed in order to provide this road.Once the treesa dn open green spaces have gone we will NEVER get them back. Please lets leave some countryside for the next generations to enjoy.

Name: Amanda Clements on Nov 13, 2004

Comments: If the bypass that Southend wants goes ahead this will split South Fambridge in half and spoil many acres of greenbelt. New roads just breed cars and building

Name: Rex Berrecloth on Nov 14, 2004

Comments: No relief road should be built at all, not even through Southend. Building new houses in the SE should be reduced. More funding given to boost industry and jobs should be provided by Government.

Name: Alan Eades on Nov 14, 2004

Comments: As the Southend route will not destroy the Green Belt of Rochford District and it will not destroy the wildlife of an area of possible scientific interest (Hullbridge)thus not damaging the environment outside of an existing urban conurbation and as Rochford District Council and Essex County Council will not oppose this route please include me in the petition.

Name: Kathleen Casey on Nov 14, 2004

Comments: It is essential that the green belt remains in this corner - otherwise there will gradually be no fields etc for our children and ultimately we will end up asan extension of London

Name: Brian Csey on Nov 14, 2004

Comments: It makes more sense to run the road through Southend where the biggest problems lie and to avoid loosing even more fields and green belt land. This shoudl tie in with the Government's brown field site policy

Comments: Building bypasses encourages more traffic, but Government Guidance in PPG requires that reduction in traffic, so bypass incompatible with government guidance.
