We request that the Board rescinds its February 6th vote to redistrict Hunter's Creek, Area #1, Pinehurst, and Area #2 students from Hardy Elementary to Salem Elementary.  We, then, request that the Board selects and passes a redistricting plan that has been recommended by the administration.

If the Board is redistricting to address overcrowding at Hardy Elementary, then we request that they pass one of the following:

1.  The administration's recommendation from the January 16th board meeting:  Move Hunter’s Creek and Area #1 (south side of Ten Mile Road between Martindale and Milford Roads, which also includes both sides of Griswold Road) in the fall of 2012‐13 into the Sayre Elementary boundary.  Then, the Pinehurst subdivision and Area #2 (north side of Ten Mile Road between Martindale and Milford Roads) would be the next areas to move from Hardy to Bartlett either for 2013‐14 or 2014‐15.

2.  The administration's revised recommendation for the February 6th board meeting:  Move Hunter’s Creek and Area #1 in the Fall of 2012 into the Sayre Elementary boundary.  Move Pinehurst and Area #2 in the Fall of 2012 into the Bartlett Elementary boundary.  Move ADEOD Kindergarten and the Magnet Program to Salem Elementary in the Fall of 2012.

3.  A modified version of the administration's revised recommendation for the February 6th board meeting:
Move Hunter’s Creek and Area #1 in the Fall of 2012 into the Sayre Elementary boundary.  Move Pinehurst and Area #2 in the Fall of 2012 into the Bartlett Elementary boundary.  Move ADEOD Kindergarten and the Magnet Program to Brummer Elementary in the Fall of 2012, instead of to Salem Elementary.

If the bo
ard is looking to utilize capacity at Salem Elementary, then per policy 185, we request that they ask the administration to make a formal recommendation specifically for that purpose.  An affirmative answer to the question "will this work" is not the same as a recommendation.
