ramon castroPlease support the citizens of Park County on this issue and protect the water for the front range people
ErnestineSupport the concerns of the little people that put you in office.
AnonymousUranium mining in South Park only benefits the few share holders interested in profit. The citizens and land owners in South Park will be stuck with a bad sutuation, scared land, possibility of contaminated water, depreciated land values, etc. Kevin Reil

Jim SappWhile this proposed mining operation is confined to Park Couny, the impacts of contaminated water knows no boundary. I urge all residents in the South Platte watershed to monitor this proposal very carefully.
Jason ZiskPlease don't allow mining in Park County. Once our water is contaminated (and even if it is not), the area will not recover for it will physically be destroyed and psychologically stigmatized which will eliminate property values.
Richard L. JuddThe potential danger of ground water contamination and making that water source unusable forever makes favoring this proposal an unconscionable act..
Alison MaynardI'm a resident of Denver. I don't want uranium in my drinking water.
Susan StovalI am very concerned about the potentially severe impacts the proposed uranium mining in South Park, Colo. will have on our land, water, health, our property values and all wildlife. This type of mining cannot be done without significant risk to our aquifers and any water that runs into the So.Platte and down into Denver. This valley is like a little slice of heaven and I ask that you do everything in your power to stop this project in all of So. Park. Sincerely Susan Stoval s

AnonymousI am a full time resident and business owner in South Park, Park County, Colorado and am NOT in favor of Uranium Mining. Thank You for your attention.
John and Sharleen McWherterThe proposed uranium mining in South Park Colorado will most likely make the water undrinkable..therefore our home would be unliveable!
Mike Jasiewiczthe last thing I would like to see is a mining operation directly out my front porch. I am under the impression this mining would be adjacent to my property and I say No Way !!
Dominick AmariUnder NO circumstance allow this type of mining to0 proceed in the water quality sensitive South Platte watershed.

Beverly CameronThis will affect everyone on the front range - if not with radioactive, contaminated water, it will require everyone to ration the usable water so those millions of people with contaminated water can share the usable water. DENY this request to mine uranium in Park County!
Christine CreedonAs our Governor and Secretary of Interior, you represent the welfare of your State and help to ensure the well being of it's citizens and natural resources. While I understand in the past this has been a "mining community" the type of uranium mining you are considering to be allowed is not your "typical mining operation." We are talking about radioactivity that cannot be reversed, contamination that cannot be corrected, and a very valuable aquifer water resource that is precious to the citizens, health and future economy of Park County, Denver and Aurora Counties that could be destroyed. Short term gains of new income for Park County or the State that might be possible from this mining is not worth the long term destruction, real estate values evaporating, tax base disappearing from citizens who move and possible death to your citizens, needless to say of the liability risks from lawsuits that could arise from future health problems. You have stated that this type of mining could bring in billions of dollars for Colorado, but it won't matter if our citizens are sick or dead. No matter what the "experts of 450 years" (Mr. Wilson of New Horizon Uranium) say, there is no guarantee that this type of mining is safe. In fact, there is more pointing to the dangers than the benefits. Why would you want to introduce this type of risk to a populated county that has so much beauty, nature resource, wild animals and long term residents when there are many other land areas in unpopulated areas that could be considered. As a land owner in Wildwood, I urge you to listen to the citizens and look at the risks. I strongly vote against this type of mining as it is not in the best interest of anyone!
Jane PotterPlease don't allow Uranium prospecting or mining in beautiful south park. It will ruin this land forever.
Joan JohnsonPlease don't allow Uranium prospecting or mining in beautiful south park. It will ruin this land forever.

Cindy L. AhernPlease prohibit New Horizon Mining (and any other company) from mining for uranium in South Park Colorado (Park County). We are property owners off Elk Horn Road in South Park and are directly affected by this. We have many concerns which include: *Contamination of the water supply that feeds Park County, Denver and the metro area water systems *Contamination of the lakes and rivers in South Park *The loss of wildlife *Permanent environmental damage *Loss of homes and property/property values *The health of the citizens that live in Park County and Denver Metro area I strongly vote against any uranium mining in Park County, Colorado

mike mcleroyare they crazy?
Doran Moore
Carol MiliotesIf this mining is being done for the use of energy for us, the risk might be more understandable, but I understand this project is for commercial profit and the uranium will actually be sent to China... I can't see that benefitting us in any way!
Laura HernandezWe cannot allow a residential area already in high development to be damaged by a mining project of this kind. Please don't look only at what this can do to the local like us that are already there but also to the communities and metropolitan areas around.
Susan BorgardtPark County's LUR prevents permitting in agricultural and residential area, but we have no protection from drilling on BLM properties. We can't risk the possibility of infinite posioning of the aquifers, some of which supply Denver & Aurora.
Susan BorgardtPark County's LUR prohibits mining permits in residential and agricultural areas. It doen't have authority over BLM lands though. We need to prevent this mining. It is just too dangerous of a possibility of poisoning our aquifers, some of which supplies Denver and Aurora water.

wayne arrigoI am against the uranium mining in south park. I bought and have lived in Park County for the beauty of this place. I have seen what happen to Leadville. I am a retired Department of Agriculture and retired military person. I request that to make a environmental disaster to us who have served our lives to keeping Colorado clean and beautiful. Please consider our request not to have mining in south park.
Rob ParkinsonPlease do everything in your power to prevent uranium mining in Park County - it is one of the most beautiful spots in Colorado, and I own property there and am deathly afraid of what could happen

Gerald RileyI urge you to take a serious look at this because I think it will be a health concern for everyone. My property backs up to BLM land and I would hate to see everyones well get contaminated by the water running off the BLM Land on to the private land all around it. I believe it could even cause problems to the wild life. The wildlife can't speak for themselves so we have to do the watching out for them. The wild life has a hard enough time with all the people that are moving in and around them.
