Name: Karen Yee Reid on Nov 7, 2006Comments: I'm a teacher at Kingsley School and we go to the north branch library every year with our first graders to register students to get library cards and take out books. We also go for storytelling with the fabulous Mrs. Schwartz. Families can walk to the library. Don't disappoint loyal patrons of literacy. Karen Yee ReidFlag

Name: Jennifer Hager on Nov 7, 2006Comments: I am a frequent user of the Evanston library north branch. I use it because it is conveniently located near my home on the 2300 block of Hartrey. If it's closed down, I won't switch to using the main library; it's just too much out of the way for me. I'd end up going to the Wilmette library or simply buying books at one of the many conveniently located book stores on the north shore. Keep reading easily accessible to all of us; keep the north and south branches open!Flag

Name: Randy Heite on Nov 7, 2006Comments: As a kindergarten teacher in Evanston, I believe it is important for both branches of the public library to remain open. As the population of downtown Evanston increases with the condo boom, many families want to visit libraries less crowded and closer to home.Flag
