We the undersigned call upon Her Majesty Government to support the workforce at Rio Tinto Alcan, Lynemouth. 626 directly employed workers who along with 320 contractors from 29 local businesses and over 3,000 workers in the supply chain stand to lose their jobs. This follows the announcement by Rio Tinto Alcan to close the Lynemouth site. We call upon the Government to use whatever means possible to make Rio Tinto Alcan reverse its decision.

We are approaching 500 signatures and need a final surge to hit this goal before we present our demands. Send the petition link to five people in your contacts right now and ask them to sign. Post this on your Facebook page to make sure our community keeps the pressure on the government.

We are approaching one hundred signatures but we need to break through that barrier today to get the attention of local officials. Text three friends right now and ask them to add their names to this fight. Post the link on your Facebook page and get the word out to your coworkers.
