Name: Duncan Frazer on Oct 26, 2006Comments: Despite living on the Wirral, I have visited the Gormley Statues on a number of occassions both on my own and with the family and always found them stimulating. They are both unique and unusual and give Liverpool City Region a positive perception as a cultural and interesting place - something that is of course useful as we run up to 2008. It would send all the wrong signals out to loose them at this time - as if we didnt care about our culture.Flag

Name: Veronica J Carroll on Oct 26, 2006Comments: The statues have found a home in Sefton, and there they should remain. They have proven to be of paramount importance to the region, particularly leading up to 2008. Their removal would be extremely damaging to the presentation of Liverpool's image, and convey a very negative message. S.O.S.Flag

Name: Jaine Fleetwood on Oct 26, 2006Comments: I go back home to Crosby regularly to see my family, although I now live in Newcastle. People up here have fallen in love with Gormley's Angel of the North and realise how beautiful it is despite the initial protests. Don't let Another Place become another 'Cavern', 'Overhead Railway' or 'Quiggins' which people will regret losing in years to come. Let's face it, Sefton is not exactly overflowing with public artworks, is itFlag
