Name: Anonymous on Dec 13, 2012Comments: Please do not let these extra programs be taken from our children's future. They need these programs in their lives more now, than ever before. If we don't allow them to have these opportunities now, more of them will left without jobs in the already bleak future. Please fight this cut back with tooth and nail.Flag

Name: Melissa Lindholm on Dec 13, 2012Comments: I have one entering HS and one at BHAEC that they are severing ties with. They say they can handle these kids at the schools in Moline. My daughter is autistic, Non Verbal, with other issues and I will not have her at the High School period, it will be ridiculous, she would require a one on one aide and she is not physically handicapped as some of the other students are. I'm sick of early out Wednesdays, I thought this was going to do away with the half day institue days, but no, they get out early on Wed and still get a ton of 1/2 days off and now cutting the class hours as well, Do Not Tell Me That this is not affecting the quality of education they are getting. Sick of Moline!Flag

Name: Misi BIrdsall Verstraete on Dec 13, 2012Comments: We need to reconsider cutting the amount of classes the students can take. If you limit this will they be able to take all the classes they want and need for college? I understand cuts need to be made but we need to go about this another way. The students of Moline High are showing a big interest in their education. Now the school board needs to show the same interest.Flag

Name: Jeremiah Rudolph on Dec 13, 2012Comments: I graduated from Moline in 1999 and realized then, and continue to believe how important electives are for students. Many of these electives spawn entire careers for people and are also outlets for students from other required classes that are often grueling.Flag

Name: Virginia D. Wruck on Dec 13, 2012Comments: These changes are a travesty. Cut back on some of the administrators and/or althletics programs. How can we graduate well-rounded students equipped for college and the real world when the district no longer provides an adequate education. The public was blindsided by this action and it is unfair to students and the community.Flag
