The petition

All across the globe every day we receive warnings to protect the environment and our natural resources. We are forced to explore new environmentally sound ways to develop energy.

Once again it seems the government has not only mismanaged but also destroyed and continue to destroy our natural resources one after another. Now they will gamble with our ocean and every thing she holds, our environment, ecosystems our natural sustainable renewable resources and the jobs of over 20,000 people.

The government has put forward plans for oil exploration off the coast of Cape Breton against the advice of Scientists, Biologists,Department of National Defense, Department of Fisheries, environmental activists and Fishermen.
