Name: Christine Dare on Apr 11, 2007Comments: I have an appartment directly opposite the restaurant. I can see the terrace from my windows and hear muffled sounds of people enjoying a fun evening. It is part of the character of living in the centre of Port Grimaud. It is horrible in the winter, not because of the weather but because it is without life and soul. If neighbours who are as close as we do not complain, on what grounds should it be closedFlag

Name: Jennifer Barrett on Apr 11, 2007Comments: My daughter and I had the delight of spending an evening at La Table du Mareyeur while we were visiting in Port Grimaud several years ago. It was wonderful to be right on the waterfront and to enjoy the hospitality of Ewan and Caroline Schutcher and their staff. The food was excellent and the menu included local wines and seafood, which made the experience one that enhanced our experience of the culture of the French Riviera. I certainly hope that La Table du Mareyeur will continue to be able to offer this experience to those who travel to the area and those that live in the community. Our evening at La Table du Mareyeur was a highlight of our trip to France.Flag

I attracts the right type of people.Indirectly TdM must mean of lot of business for a lot of people. By restricting (for an outsider for no real reason but someone wants to show they have muscles)you must negatively influence a lot of other businesses. What sense does that make.Flag

Name: Victoria Fisher on Apr 12, 2007Comments: La Table du Mareyeur is not just a restaurant in Port Grimaud, but more of an institution and a permanent fixture with the most important welcoming committee with Ewan and Caroline. I live opposite the restaurant and consider Ewan and Caroline to be more than just business owners, they are part of what makes Port Grimaud such a special place. Without them or the restaurant PG will be a lesser place and a very sad loss. Whilst many of the restaurants change owners La Table du Mareyeur remains successful and talked of by many. It is the pinnacle of Port Grimaud and by losing its presence I am sure would this would have a devastating effect on the town.Flag
