Arlo Guthrie | Port Grimaud without Table du Mareyeur? That'd be like Paris without the Eiffel Tower. You have my complete support.
Birgit Adam | We appreciate to have Table du Mareyeur with it´´s high quality food and ambiente in Port Grimaud. It´s almost an instituion.
Adrian Jonathan Hayes | Wishing you every success with your beautiful restaurant and terrace and earnestly hope that there will not be any changes made.
Nicholas & Martine Beuttler | La Table du Mareyeur plays a very important part in the daily life of Port Grimaud and it is vital that they are allowed to continue the use of the terrace
MacAuley Mark |
David and Anne Pender-Cudlip | The excellent reputation of La Table de Mareyeur brings not only valuable business to the restaurant but also to the other commercial enterprises at Port Grimaud.
Anna Hart | La Table du Mareyeur was the best restaurant we dined in during our visit to France and we have recommended it to all our friends - it would be a tragedy to alter anything about it and its wonderful owners Ewan & Caroline Scutcher and their staff.
Michael Brock | La Table du Mareyeur is a truly wonderful establishment and a very important part of life in Port Grimaud. it would be a tragedy if anything happended to it. You have my full support for your cause to retain the concession and continuing to use the wonderful outside terrace.
Ernest Menten | This restaurant as it presently, should most deffinitly remain as it is. It is one of the reasons why Port Grimaud is what it is, and compensates PG 1 with all the crepes and ice cream cones.
Alastair harris | I would like to pledge my full support for this cause as a summer in Port grimaud just would not be the same with out the Scutchers and La Table du Mareyeur!!
Claire Lathbury | I am a big fan of La Table du Mareyeur and whenever I have eaten there it has always been on the terrace. It's hard to imagine how this restaurant can survive without the terrace.
Richard Simpson | This is a fabulous restaurant that attracts visitors from far and wide. Without the terrace the restaurant will just not be the same.
Paul McGrath |
James Du Boulay | It would be a great shame to loose the Terrace as it is an integral part of the Port Grimaud atmosphere.
Anders Aberg | This resturant is by far the best in Port Grimaud with an ambtion to serve good quality food with a marine touch so important to our little village.

Hazel Kinnear | Having been a regular visiter to La Table du Mareyeur since its opening, I, my entire family and my many friends from all over the world, would be quite devastated if this delightful restaurant, a real asset to the area by its quality, professionalism and charm, were to disappear.
ashley elphick | full support for caroline et ewan
Graham Thompson | As Guest Relations Manager at Hotel Le Beauvallon it would be a disaster if any part of the restaurant were closed. As a business it brings in a tremendous amount of our clients that would otherwise not visit Port Grimaud as the area lacks any other establishment of quality. Our hotel guests demand service and food of the highest standard in a restaurant with fine views and access by boat. Port Grimaud has only La Table du Mareyeur that meets this standard and without its terrace our guests would dine elsewhere and spend their money in another town depriving the local businesses of their patronage. My personal opinion is that the terrace should be extended along with the restaurant as success and loyalty to the area should be rewarded.
Andrea Lapidus Persson |
Fredrik Aspegren | It would be a crime to take away the terrace and destroy the best seafood restaurant of the Cote d'Azur. This restaurant is a landmark for all visitors to Port Grimaud and the region. I bring friends and family to Port Grimaud for La Table du Mareyeur and then for town itself.
Anonymous | This restaurant is the only reason that I would visit Port Grimaud. It would be sadly missed by me and my numerous family members.
Hufton | After many years of consistently high standards it would be a great shame to see the restaurant lose a part of its concession.
Mark Williams | I would like to strongly urge authorities to reconsider taking away the terrace concession for La Table du Mareyeur. As a regular international visitor, there are strong associations with the canal and the restaurant.
| 31 | Kate Heron | Why do you feel the need to try to close down most of the terrace of the best restaurant in the area? I thought you cared about your local businesses. Don't do it!
Kate and Justin. |
samantha Talbot | please save this lovely restaurant. support the small businesss.
| 33 | Christopher Baenninger | Ce restaurant est un de mes favoris;
Merci. Christopher |

Chrissy Wetherhill | This would be an absolute shame, we make a special trip to Port Grimaud just to dine at the restaurant.

Rozzi & Michael Hufton | La table du Marayeur is quite simply the best restaurant in Port-Grimaud and its wonderful terrace adds infinitely to the character, warmth and conviviality of village life - not to mention livening up what is otherwise a rather drab square. It is simply unthinkable to imagine this wonderful terrace, where we have enjoyed countless family meals over more than 25 years, being closed because of bureaucratic nonsense. The very essence of France is its gastronomy and its joie de vivre - there is no better expression of those characteristics than this terrace. Vive la France and Vive la Table du Marayeur! Michael Hufton.
David & Gretchen Scott | We are very concerned about the developments in Port Grimaud that would threaten the existence of the Table du Mareyeur. If the village looses such businesses it will have a significant impact on the human element of the village. Restaurants and small business are vital to retaining the “real” village feel the Mr. Spoerry conceived. We would strongly urge the government of Port Grimaud to not do anything that makes it hard for businesses to exist. We need them in order to retain vitality in Port Grimaud. We are especially strong supporters Ewan & Carline Scutcher because they and their business have been an integral part of the Port Grimaud for many years. If we loose them and their business we will have lost a part of Port Griamud’s heart.
Gangale Isabella |
Kent Persson | La Table du Mareyeur is a very nice meeting place in Port Grimaud!
Timon Pratt | I have a holiday home in Roussillon and frequently visit Port Grimaud. La Table du Mareyeur is the finest restaurant and must remain in the port.
Shadi Feiz |
Sibilla Gelpke |
Tim Harris | Anything adversely affecting the existenceof La Table du Mareyeur would be disastrous for the community and tourism of Port Grimaud. I implore you to look after the restaurants interests. I for one would never visit the Port again if anything happened to the restaurant or to the Scutchers
Robert Stewart | It would be dreadful if this happens and ruin the best restaurant in Port Grimaud.
Ian Holden |
Robin Harris | I have been visiting Port Grimaud since it was mostly swamp land and a holiday to Port Grimault would not be the same without at least a couple of meals at our favourite restaurant - La Table du Mareyeur.

Susan Dinham | I always use this restaurant on my visits every year when I stay with a resident of PG and it greatly enhances my enjoyment . I would be very unhappy to see it curtailed in any way
Peter Temperton | I have had a home in Port Grimaud for more than 20 years and La Table du Mareyeur is, without doubt, one of my (and my guests) favourite restaurants in Port Grimaud and the surrounding area. I would be devastated if the restaurant was not able to carry on its normal business including the use of the very popular terrace. I particularly like to sit on the terrace for my meals and I do appreciate the facility of being able to arrive in my boat.
