if you need over a thousand people to sign a petition to get goverment action, lets do something important. why when a soldier leaving an army barracks gets butchered by muslim extremists is it mentioned on the news about the police apparently 'shooting the suspects arms down'(weapons not pointing at officers). anyone in defence and on side with these offenders can make this accusation and the police have to waste time dealing with defending their actions. then it becomes a police proirity to think of how things will look in the press, over their actual job of protecting their local/national community. the police are trained in these kind of circumstances and are best placed to know what is the neccersary action in such a situation. how can someone just say an opinion and it is on national tv automatically? defend our defenders first, worry about the what ifs later when the truth has been verified.
