manny mankowski0198033Let us preserve as much natural space as possible, and utiize ball fields that we now have in our schools. We owe this to our future generations.
Allen Minner020198014Section 36 as it was known was saved from the developers years ago. Now it is time to save it again.
Anonymous020198028Keep parks just that, parks for people!
Dave Wilkes040198075I strongly support leaving Section 36/Soaring Eagle park as it is.
Susan Shecket030198112The rapid disappearance of undeveloped land which has long been used by hikers and equestrians is of great concern. I strongly urge the council to retain Soaring Eagle Park to preserve and maintain this property, and to deny the City of Sammish request to develop this land.

david yousko020298204There are few places to ride a bike on real trails and we seem to be loosing the ones we have.
Anonymous040198074This park should remain as is and the City should leverage other existing parks and insfrastructure for the activities proposed.
Patricia Zabriskie040198074It is a beautiful natural area, and we are quickly running out of preserves such as this. Once it's gone, it's gone. This area is hugely influential in providing a high quality of life in our area.
Lisa Varner020298075I have boys involved in Cub Scouts and Y-guides. Both groups use the area for hikes and biking adventures. Please don't destroy this local natural treasure.
Steve & Kara Farno020198074
Jason Shirk040198074I just moved to the area and it's a fantastic park. I'll be visiting the park regularly, running, biking, or hiking with my kids.
Paul Cunnington040298075This is one of the best parks in the area and has an abundance of wildelife. once these spaces have been removed they can never be reclaimed.
Sharon Cunnington040298075Thie park is a great place to bring children and would be a travesty if we lost it..

Anonymous040198075I love the beauty of this place, please don't take it away. There is so little natural habitat left to enjoy walking through around here.
Anonymous040298075It would be a travesty to ruin this park,...it's already bad enough that they are putting in too many homes over there, at least preserve the natural beauty of some of this area. Instead of wasting it for a bunch of people to have yet ANOTHER soccer field for kids that won't even appreciate it.
Nancy Cleland040198075
Bruce Cleland040298075My family and I use this park on a regular basis. This beautiful space is one of the reasons we chose to live in the area. We show it off and share it with visitors from other countries, states, cities and parts of Seattle. Please preserve this important part of the neighborhood.
Anonymous040198074Development of this area is clearly an irresponsible act, and any elected official in favor is clearly motivated by some anticipated gain. Large areas of forest such as this are irreplaceable. I will actively campaign against any elected official who votes for this.

The Faciane Family040298075Developing this land would be another sign that open wildnerness and our environment are not as sacredly held in Washington as state propaganda purports it to be. What a shame if this passes.

Cristine Skoglund030298075It would be a shame if Soaring Eagle Park went away. I have 3 small boys and we love taking nature walks through there plus both me and my husband enjoy bike riding through there.
Mr. Ricardo Arroyo030298075
Mary Austin Staples020198075
Molly Strange040198075My family and I hike and bike there regularly (at least once a week) and value the proximity and the size of the park. My 2 children also both participate in the Issaquah Soccer club, and are appalled at the condition of hte fields. I fully believe that the money and resources should be put into the Highlands DISASTER fields, as well as the existing fields and LEAVE SOARING EAGLE ALONE!!! There are many fields in great need of repair and irrigation/drainage and it would be the worst thing to do to donate more land to the city of Sammamish to be a bandaid to the horrendous care the current fields have. I feel strongly that the Issaquah Soccer club, with its huge membership, should be able to do better than it does with the FIELDS IT HAS.
Eric Skoglund030198075With all the clearing to build homes in Sammamish, lets keep this wonderful park. This is great place enjoy with the entire family.
Fred Daynes040298075I do not like that the management of the Parks on the whole, for instance closing the restrooms at 6pm, when soccer starts at 6pm. The design and management defies logic, and what a council thinks will entice more visitors in fact turns off the very residents who use or live near the location they think they are beautifying. The traffic patterns, the roads that open up new development for more homes for more tax base is miss conceived from that very stand point of whose best interest you are working for. City planers continue to devastate the community like Talos retirement eye sore, or a Telecommunication Cell phone pole right on Trossachs main road, not recognizing all of the repercussions, or your options and how you could have done it better. Here in Trossachs our children should not have to cross a major intersection to get to the outback to see what God created. The pristine virgin soils our fore fathers sought and the heritage of Indian tribesmen which our country continues to walk over. All I can say to you is “Don’t jump over the posies to land in the Dung Heap”. The park is fine the way it stands say no to Proposed Ordinance No. 2007-0353. thanks the Daynes family
Lynda Nielsen040198027Please don't develop any part of this park - we don't need any more soccer fields! I even have two boys that play soccer, but it's not worth wiping away the wilderness forever.
Justin Kirby040198074It is a great place to hike and ride my bike year round. I ride/hike with at least two friends every time I go which is roughly once every other week.
William R. Stewart020198074We need to perserve some open lands on the plateau. There are many homes already and not as much open land remaining.
Shelley Lockwood040198024Please preserve this beautiful park. This is a safe place for people to ride their bikes or hike and enjoy the beauty of nature. The last thing we need is more developed land in the area. Replacing a beautiful natural park with ball fields, in my opinion, is just ridiculous.
Larry Lockwood040198024
Ann Hurst010198028In a few short years, in just one term, an elected official can ruin access to nature and spontaneous play for our children. In the 1880's plant specimens were collected in Seattle for the Burke; these plants are no longer found in King County.
Kim Hess030198074
Spencer Riley040198075There are miles of hiking, mountain biking and horse riding trails in this park. This is a very unique park that would be sorely missed.
Sharon Arroyo0498075I enjoy the close the proximity of such a large natural forest. It provides a unique quality of life.
