Anonymous | 04 | 02 | 98118 | The park should be left as is. There must be another location that is not currently wilderness that can be sports parks. Children in the area will appreciate the access to the park which is also a core part of living in the northwest. Sammamish Plateau development has already greatly impacted the character of the eastside and should be planned to avoid existing wildlife refuge areas.
Robert Sauer | 03 | 02 | 98005 | My friends and I have been Mt Biking in that park for over 6 years. We used to ride on High Point, and all that development drove us off...
Robert Frostad | 03 | 01 | 98034 | Leave it alone! It's fine the way it is!

Roland Dunatov | 04 | 02 | 98029 | This is one of the last vestiges of what living in Issaquah / Sammamish truly means: to be in touch with nature while living in a suburban area. While we do need soccer fields, our children also need a place to discover nature and adults need a place to unwind and excersize. Soaring Eagle is one of the things which keeps me living in Issaquah. If it is taken away I may have to move further out. Thank You for listening.

Anonymous | 03 | 02 | 98052 | do not destroy what little untouched land we have left.
Julie Fuerstenberg | 01 | 01 | 98075 | Even though I have 3 children who play organized soccer, I wholeheartledly believe Soaring Eagle Park should stay intact as a wilderness area. We do not see this major crisis of not having enough fields. Perhaps the school fields in the area could be utilized more. This natural habitat is essential for wildlife and an asset to our community. The wildlife are already being encroached upon so much with housing development. In the 7 years that we have lived in our home (25 year old development on the plateau with greenbelt behind us), we have seen wildlife sightings increase ten-fold as development has increased and wildlife has moved into our backyard cooridor. The animals need this space and the disruption of crowds, lights, cars and noise will greatly impact these creatures. Please keep Soaring Eagle Park as it is, for the animals and for future generations to enjoy. Thank you.
Daniel W. Rasmus | 04 | 01 | 98074 | We moved to our neighborhood in part because of Soaring Beagle al the quiet buffer it creates. I have been dismayed already, by construction and heavy handed "gardening" in the parking area. We have enough development. We need to retain our spaces to allow us to find our deeper humanity. And many of us moved here because we could walk there.

Laurie JOnes | 04 | 01 | 98075 | This is a wonderful park for hiking and mountain biking and we need to keep this land as it is for the families and animals in this area. It is one of the reasons that my family moved to the area.
wendy wheeler jacobs | 04 | 01 | 98074 | I trail run in soaring eagle park 2 or 3 days a week. It is a wonderful local resource and should be preserved! I have seen many deer and a bear with cubs in there this year. There are so many other places already deforested that would serve as better playfields without disrupting this beautiful place and its inhabitants. Why not take the money and upgrade some exisiting playfields?

Dan Jones | 04 | 01 | 98075 | I enjoy mountain biking and hiking in Soaring Eagle Park. It is a wonderful recreation location for outdoor fun for families and I would hate to see it go away.
Kathy Tugwell | 04 | 01 | 98058 | I am a horseback rider and the trails for us are far and few between. We need a place to ride the in door areanas aren't for everyone.

John Smyth | 04 | 01 | 98075 | The soaring eagle park is one of the last gems in the area. I would hate to see this land be developed at all. It's the last place to get out and hike or bike and see some wild life if you're lucky. Think of all the wildlife this would negatively affect.

Kerry Smyth | 04 | 01 | 98075 | PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not disturb this treasure - we are running out of green spaces and need to leave this amazing are ALONE!!! Take some of the land that contractors are continually building more homes on and make the soccer fields there - but do not take an area that is so precious to those that live here - humans, and most importantly ANIMALS.

shane christopher | 03 | 01 | 98014 | I love the "feel like your in the middle of nowhere" trails right near home. I run and bike here often and having all the trees mowed down is bad for users like me aside from the environmental impact. Lets not destroy this neighborhood forest to develop recreation. Do people forget that we need trees and that 'more grass' is really not the direction we should be moving knowing what we do now about our impact on the earth...
Paul Smith | 04 | 02 | 98074 | Please do not disrupt the natual state of this park. Our kids will thank us for it even if you can't find another place for your soccer field. It's too bad the city of Redmond/Sammamish did not have the foresight to make the developers build them.
Glenn Glover | 03 | 01 | 98059 | This beautiful area is completely inappropriate for clearing and conversion to sports fields.
