To the Honourable Presidents and Members of the Legislative Council in the states of New South Wales, we also address the Speakers and Members of the respective Legislative Assembly of the states of New South Wales.
The undersigned people of New South Wales Australia who have signed this petition requesting that the New South Wales Government abolish the current Fire Service Levy on insurance and repalce it with a fairer and equitable system that is rated and charged in conjunction with the property and land owners council rates.
That the system of levying a “tax on tax” relative to the premium for stamp duty be charged in accordance with the precise rate/percentage and only in accordance with the base premium.
That the Fire Service Levy charged on Commercial and Rural insurance for the items of loss of rent, removal of debris, business interruption be removed as these items of cover and their real term effect only come into play following a fire and are unnecessary. |
