AnonymousHang in there buddy. Just remember that beyond Snohomish, people actually care and are compassionate.
DanSandDetroitBrett- here's to a speedy recovery. There's many more of us who feel this situation is ridiculous. You have our support.
AnonymousIt is pure outrage that they aren't empathetic at all! What would happen if they were hurt or worse, their children? The people of Snohomish should be downright embarrassed to live!
Ben HoThanks for putting yourself out there on behalf of Karch.. I understand the positive impact football can have on a community, but I also see how it can foster mob mentality.
Joe NormalDont be stupid, your cannon sucks, the life of another human is far more important that your friviolus community tradition.
Jason DavidThis is an outrage to say the least. You must not put traditions in front of health/safety! And for the people who wrote anything nasty on his get well cards... Well you've got something comming to you. Havent you heard of karma? Shame on the community members that have looked the other way on this. You were just as wrong as the others.
Jocelyne FerlandGet well soon ! warm thoughts coming all the way from winnipeg manitoba canada

JoAnnaBrett, My heart goes out to you and your family. Know that there ARE good, caring, decent people out there waiting to welcome and respect you with open arms. The BEST of Holidays and Life to you, Brett
AnonymousPlease show true human compassion and value people over things. This boy didi nothing wrong and does not deserve your derision but your support. I would hope that a truly American community would value its kids over its cannon. The cannon is just a symbol that means nothing if human life isn't valued above it.

Gabriel StalnakerThe people in his town need hearts.
Jay WiegmannThe mere fact that Brett can endure PT and continues to work shows that he has the heart of a Marine. My best wishes to you Brett and hopes that the hardest part of PT passes quickly.
AnonymousBrett- It's awful that a random guy from Florida (me) cares more about your well-being than your entire home town. Get well soon, and I hope you show everyone in Snohomish what you're really made of by making a speedy recovery.
AnonymousI was horrified to read the story about poor Brett Karch and how the citizens of Snohomish have been treating him since he was injured. What a disgusting bunch of cruel, self-centered jerks that poor young man has to contend with. The people of Snohomish should be very ashamed.
Floyd Miller
Ryan HarkinsGet well bra. Hopefully your community pulls together.
Zack WBrett, I hope you get better. Those in your town who haven't shown you any compassion should be ashamed of themselves. Your life has changed forever. No longer having a cannon at the game isn't going to change much for everyone else. Hope you get well soon

FrancisI'm from Melbourne, Australia and read about your accident on digg.com. I just want you to know that people out there do care, don't let your local community bring you down - be strong, and get well soon!

Edwin A.This community should be more than ashamed of what they have done, putting a chunk of metal above a human beings life.

AnonymousI grew up in a VERY small community and can remember how important the traditions of ALL sports were to the local community. The only reason ANY monies were allocated for the band was directly related to their playing at the games. It was sad to see and even sadder to know that small town mentality hasn't grown-up with it's aging citizens. I hope you are able to recover completely and enter the Marines as you had hoped to do. Good luck!
