| 1 | Kevin | This is a very serious petition, please be mature about what you put on here. I will make sure that the town or at least the school will see how many people sign this so show those who may care. |
| 2 | Kevin Zhang | Fuck that fucking school's fucking football team and also all their fucking fans. |
| 3 | Adam Harrison | |
| 4 | Carl | Good Luck Bro, More power to you. |
| 5 | Damien | |
| 6 | Brandon Colton | Best wishes to Brett. I am a Marine that values life over traditions. Such a poor response by a community will of course draw attention on a national level. I suggest that the high school and town make a public statement and show a decent amount of support for the injured child. To Brett, know that you have a national community that supports you. |

| 10 | Nate Clevenz | good luck and get better soon, ya know what they say.... small towns create big assholes... |
| 11 | sam | fucking redneck hicks |
| 12 | Anonymous | Foget your town, sounds like a terrible place to live, especially with all those low-brow loser, you can be sure from here on in, those oh so good Soldiers if they ever get into the military, their squads will know where they are from, and they will get whats coming to them. Americans are supposed to stick together, not hang them out to dry. You can be sure if they make it to IRAQ they will not have anyone watching their backs, but WE, my Squad, is looking out for you! |
| 13 | Daniel Lopez | |
| 14 | Justin | Live strong! |
| 15 | Brian Schwartz | Crazy for him to get threatened by the very people who blew a hole in his leg... kinda sick. |
| 16 | Philip Schlenoff | |
| 17 | Joshua Sender | |
| 18 | Anonymous | GOD! I hope he is ok, my condolences to the family, and shame on the town and school. |
| 19 | Dork Dorkly | SAN DIMAS HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL RULES! |
| 20 | Rob Camp | The best thing for this town's people is to lose their not only the cannon, but also their football team. Clearly, they don't deserve one after such a ridiculous and immature display of behavior.
I hope the Karch family sues every one of the mouthbreathing bottom feeders who feel that such a relatively pointless weekly ritual is worth more than a human's well being.
Instead of frothing at the mouth, the people of Snohomish should take a long look at themselves and try to come up with something better to do with their lives than to vicariously relive their glory days through their children, and become bloodthirsty animals should anything go sour with their reminiscence. |
| 21 | Anonymous | Brett, just because your town is full of idiots doesnt mean the rest of the world doesnt have your back. We are all here supporting you brother. |
| 22 | Brian Vogelgesang | How dare they threaten a boy over a Jock football game. Any other town and this would be all over the news. This has ruined the boys career and will take months/years to recover. This is a sick town for not supporting him. |
| 23 | Rob Poirier | Bret you are the man!!! |

| 25 | Jon Hanson | Not sure what good this will do, but I am so sickened by this story that I am compelled to try anything to show this young man the support and respect he deserves.
I am rather upset right now but feel that the town of Snohomish should have the cannon and the football program eliminated. |
| 26 | john Sim | |
| 27 | Justin Kownacki | Brett: Sorry to hear about your situation. I hope you can take solace in the fact that thousands of people across America (and beyond) realize that what you need now, more than anything else, is to know that you have the support and best wishes of your fellow citizens -- perhaps not in your own town, but certainly in your country and the world at large.
Good luck in the future, and may your world brighten as it grows ever larger. |
| 28 | Douglas Williams | |
| 29 | Steve Pollock | |
| 30 | Tonya | Get Well!!!! |
| 31 | Dylan H | woo |
| 32 | Evan Johnson | |
| 33 | Chris Wallace | Those Members of the town who shunned Brett should be ashamed of themselves. Had I the power, I would cancel the football season for the next four years, and fire the coach for playing on while this young man was driven to the hospital.
The town owes the young man an apology and financial and emotional support for the rest of his life. |
| 34 | Peter Griffin | |
| 35 | Jan Stephan Lundquist | Brett, wishing you a successful and speedy recovery. May all your dreams and hopes come true in the future through your hard work and dedication. |
| 36 | Awais Khan | good luck and get well soon brett |
| 37 | David Armstrong | |
| 38 | Jason D'Orazio | |
| 39 | Anonymous | I'm so sorry for what happened to you, and I hope you get better. You shouldn't have the breathe the same air as those who threatened you, or treated you so poorly. |
| 40 | Matt McKeehen | Hang in there Brett! Hopefully your leg will heal well enough for you to join the Marines, and then you can leave those fucking inbred hicks of Snohomish WAAAAAYYYYY behind you!!! |
| 41 | Padraig Richards | |
| 42 | Bart De Maertelaere | I can not believe the stupidity of people.
This kid has already suffered enough, and isn't even sure his wounds are going to heal to a full 100%, and then some stupid town-folks are trying to get psychical just because over some 'stupid' tradition.
Respect to Brett and his family and a big finger to all those hypocritical, short-viewed, arrogant and obnoxious villagers.
If life should become unbearable for Brett and his family in his hometown I can only tell him that live on the Old Continent is a bit more civilized ;-)
Keep the spirit. |
| 43 | Anonymous | Another one of thousands of people who feel that Brett should have been given more support. |
| 44 | Jonathan Bensley | |
| 45 | Simon NG | shame on the community and school! |
| 46 | Anonymous | if you can make it against a town turning against you, you can make it in the marines. we support you. |
| 47 | Anonymous | I'm a Snohomish High School grad, class of 2005. Although it is reported that some people have sent threats to Brett, do not take this to mean that everyone in Snohomish is an incompassionate dirtbag. Most of us feel the same way you guys do, but in any sufficiently large group of people, you'll have a few pieces of shit. |
| 48 | Jordan | hey Brett, we're all pulling for you. get better soon. |
| 49 | Howard | Get well man! |
| 50 | Christopher J Collett | Congratulations, you have been Dugg! What does this mean for a small town like Snohomish? Well, lets just say you are on the map. Some 400,000+ registered users of Digg have discovered just how backwards your town's values really are. When Brett Karch was proudly doing his job firing the cannon at your High School homecoming football game, you were all his friends. After the tragic accident that nearly took his leg, and could have taken his life, you all disowned him. Some of you blamed him for the accident, all of you chose your tradition over this boy. Need I remind you that without boys like Brett, there would be no traditions. This kid would have gone to war to fight for your traditions, and yet you can't visit him at the hospital, go to his birthday party or wave to him when he visits the school he once proudly attended. In a country like ours, where values are losing ground to religious fanatics and corrupt politicians, your town is the poster child of getting it wrong. I hope you are proud. |
