Comments: Less cheesy advertising, less keeping up with the Jonses, and more investment in the network is the solution. The 20mbit service is 4x the price of Sky's premium service, and to be honest, for the slightly better performance of cable, its not really worth it.

Comments: I work for this Company I think that this is total unfair we say that you can download what you want when we want. but now your saying we cant you making all these changes and so on saving money left righ and centre about time it was spent on the broadband server so that we can live upto the virgin name and do as we say UNLIMITED

Comments: I am an ex-employee who left partly because of the disgraceful way that customers were treated, as well as due to poor internal communications and lack of morale. It's disgusting to see a company who claim they are so "for the customer" treat people this way. I bet Branson is regretting giving NTL/Telewest the Virgin name, although I'm sure 100k a year cushions the blow a little.

Comments: I am disgusted at Virgin's recent service changes despite the free 20Mb upgrade, which actually clashes with this set back. I will be moving to another broadband provider as my contract ends with Virgin this month, unless they do something about this quickly. Unlimited my arse.

Comments: Ive never been so dissapointed with Virgin media. I thought this was a fair company but i guess i was wrong. This is a con, im on a XL package but if i download ill be put down to 5mb. Sorry VM im not paying for 5mb, im paying for 10mb which i expect 24/7. I will definetly disconnect from Virgin media and join Sky if the traffic management still remains.

Comments: The whole thing that set blueyonder apart from other ISP's was the unlimitedness of it. Now NTL have taken it over, it has gone down the pan. I think it is a shame that Richard Branson will lend his name to such a shoddy product. Traffic shaping harms consumers, and the amounts are just rediculous

Comments: Well done VM for destroying a perfectly working NTL service which was all that was keeping me here. Your CS sucks , your billing is a complete shambles , india call staff that dont speak english , and now traffic shaping my 20mb broadband well herr no thanks mate I bung my 37 quid to sky. There bad but your a million times worse good luck in the future with no customers and a useless company

Comments: I am not a customer, but was just about to switch so I could have a faster unlimited service. Needless to say those plans have now been scrapped, and im sticking with my current ISP - slower but actually unlimited. One of the last ISPs to not have a FUP/caps has fallen, and the public are not happy.

Comments: Signing this petition after reading of the traffic shaping plans at www.sn2ts.com earlier today. As a new customer I wasn't even aware of these plans. I'll be contacting Watchdog on Monday morning also and seeking Trading Standards advice as the sales guy who sold me the package didn't even drop a hint of restrictions being put in place. Shambolic.

Comments: As a Virgin Media customer for 5 years I was very disappointed to hear that "traffic shaping" i.e. capping is occuring on what has famously always been an unlimted service. I hope you seriously reconsider this otherwise you will unfortunatly loose what was once a very loyal customer.

Comments: I am strongly against traffic shaping. It is deceptive service and is not what I am paying for, if Virgin go ahead and enforce this traffic shaping, they will be promptly losing a customer (and I'm sure a hell of a lot more). Improve your network or offer services you can actually provide without limiting them so your shoddy network can handle it for a decent price. Really, your values as a company are totally wrong. Continue like this and I predict a forthcoming liquidation.
