Smart is one of the most fuel-efficient internal combustion cars in production today. With gas prices reaching all time highs, our environmental problems, why doesn\'t Congress, DaimlerChrysler, DOT or EPA make it less complicated and more economical for companies to import and research new planet friendly products, like the Smart Car. The Smart ForTwo, gets a five star rating from most countries. It includes a greenhouse rating based on CO2 emissions and air pollution rating based primarily on emission standards, along with fuel consumption data. The Smart car has fewer emissions than the most American cars as it comes off the production line from the factory. The Smart had pasted safety and environmental issues in over 30 countries. Yet the EPA still blocks the Smart car importation and kowtows to industry. Now our government requires more time, money and resources to approve the up coming models for importation to the U.S. EPA\'s two most senior career enforcement officials resigned after decades of service, because of George W\'s policies. George W. Bush will go down in history as America\'s worst environmental president. All leaders go down in history, some farther down than others. The cars are available in Canada and Mexico. 800,000 Smarts, have been produced and it is being sold to 35 countries worldwide. To date only 2 legal Smarts have been sold in the U.S. Great wealth lays ahead for the company that will manufacture crutches for lame excuses.
