We, the undersigned, want the City of Vancouver to implement Traffic Calming measures on the stretch of King Edward Ave from Fraser Street, West to Columbia Street. This stretch of road borders four schools, three parks and a vibrant community. Due to the geographic layout of this area, with hills on either side and narrow sidewalks, this road forms a \'bowl\' of speeding cars, aggressive driving, and unsafe pedestrian conditions. We would like the City to implement Traffic Calming measures in line with existing measures currently on East King Edward between Knight and Fraser. Through the use of pedestrian bulges, right-hand only turn lanes and dedicated parking/bicycle lanes we hope to make this a safer stretch of road for the students and residents of the area. slowdowntheking@gmail.com

My name is Cameron Cronin and as a resident of this area I am concerned by the speeds and dangerous actions of vehicles on this stretch of road. 83% of respondents to the Riley Park South Cambie Community Visions voted for traffic calming solutions for King Edward Ave. With community and City support, I hope we can make this corridor a safer area for our children.
