Above is the addy for the very law Linden and thier pot smoking hippie attorneys are destroying SL over. Personally I see a loophole big enough to drives a freight train through. But I don't give legal advice over the internet.Maybe if they put down that bong long enough Linden attorneys might see it too.
What people can do, aside from this petition is to e mail, call, write letters to US congressmen and senators (especially the ones running for President) from all over the world. Their names and e mails are easily found at the US.gov sites.
Tell them to repeal this law, that was attached in the dead of night by a handful of religious zealot congressmen. The WTO has already deemed this law illegal. It's time the US government heard from the people of the world as well. Help save internet gambling.

A game like Slingo is not gambling in the same way that constantly feeding a slot machine is. It is mainly a social event and isn't that what Second Life is meant to be all about? And what about word games like Boogie? Are you saying they are more harmful than weapons?
If 2/3 of your users are Europeans, as you say, then why host the servers in America? Move them to Europe or give us our own version of Second Life. Don't force us to abide by your uncivilised, puritan rules.
I would rather gamble a few lindens of my own money than gamble my life. Which of these do YOU think is the most humane way to live? |
