Sleaford is a town in dire need of regeneration, the fact that the Sleaford Town Council have now gone back on their deal to sell a small strip of the rec in order for a link-road to be put in. Not only will this connect up to the new Tesco and The Maltings, but it will also ease the traffic through town, which has built up to ridiculous levels. People may not be happy about a small percentage of The Rec being sold however, think, the development at The Maltings could easily include green areas and there are plenty of spaces in town that can be done up and turned into green areas. The Maltings is by no-means a pretty sight at the moment, so why would Sleaford Town Council be holding back the development of buildings that really need renovation or they will become severely derelict and beyond-repair. This petition is to ensure the sale of the land and the start of the regeneration project to the town, it is desperately needed.
