With this petition we are looking to have slackline posts installed into the Okanagan and/or Skaha lakes inside of the swimming areas. This would provide another draw for tourism, another great option for exercise and most importantly provide a safe area for those participating in the sport to practice, learn and improve in this sport that is gain momentum world wide. The park would require little more than a few poles(2 per line) driven into the lake ground to provide solid and strong anchor points. Slacklining was a sport created by climbers and with our world class climbing locations(Skaha climbing bluffs) in our back yard this would seem to be a natural addition to the surrounding area.
