Baltimore City residents need a better way to travel between neighborhoods and get around the congested harbor traffic. A proposal for a Gondola system has already been presented to city officials who reacted with praise and excitement. Unfortunately the project got lost in the bureaucratic shuffle and needs another push from the community to get the necessary parties interested again. "The Baltimore Lift", founded by Skyline Baltimore L.L.C., would have base towers in Canton, Fells Point and the Inner Harbor. It would connect each neighborhood by a simple gondola ride, never taking longer than 10 minutes to complete the full route. Such an ingenious concept would be operational year round making travel, whether for work or leisure, an ease. No more worrying about parking at the stadiums, congestion around the harbor, wading through the smog or late arriving buses, "The Lift" alleviates all those issues. The Idea was already thought to be a winner once before, let's get this ball back on track and sign our way towards the future of transport and put Baltimore on the map with "The Baltimore Lift".
